Andre Yruretagoyena Ready

With a few spots open on the offensive line and Chip Kelly's wide open, fast paced offense, playing time is not a stretch for the incoming class, especially for star recruit Andre Yruretagoyena.

DuckTerritory.com caught up with the 6-foot-5, 285 pound Yruretagoyena as he prepares to leave the hot desert sun for the more mild climate of Eugene.

"I leave this Saturday morning at 6 A.M., I fly into Portland and my dad will be driving me into Eugene. I'm excited to see everyone again and see what being independent is like, and I can't wait to start working!" said an excited Yruretagoyena.

The dynamic offensive lineman said there were many reasons that he chose the Ducks and listed some of them for us.

"I chose Oregon because I felt at home and because I have family up there. I want to see my little brother grow up. I have also missed the northwest for a while now and living in this heat is awful."

As far as his goals for his freshman year in Eugene, Yruretagoyena told us the following.

"My goals are to get good grades first and foremost and if playing time is an option then play to my best ability. If it doesn't work out and I red-shirt, then I'll give my best efforts in practice to help work towards a National Championship. I also want to get stronger and faster so I can perform at the highest level."

Duckterritory.com would like to wish Yruretagoyena the best as he moves on to Eugene for his college career.
