Ducks add JC guard

Dana Altman has landed 2012 JC shooting guard Devon Branch out of Cloud County Community College in Kansas.

Branch was one of three official visitors this weekend for the Ducks and before he left the UO he gave his pledge to play for Dana Altman.

"Yes I did [commit]," said Branch via text message late Sunday evening.

Branch is a 6-foot-6 guard who averaged 20 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and two steals per game. He shot 51 percent from the field and 41 percent from three.

Branch chose Oregon over Texas AM, Kansas State, Maryland, Virginia Tech.

He will have two years of eligibility at Oregon.

Branch was also joined by junior college recruits Keon Pledger, a guard, and Andrew Young, a post.

5-star power forward and prep Anthony Bennett took an unofficial visit to Oregon Sunday after competing in the Nike Hoop Summit Saturday evening in Eugene.

DuckTerritory.com will have more from Branch later.
