Five-star Anthony Bennett recently played in the Nike Global Challenge in Hillsboro, OR and I got a chance to watch him play and after Bennett spoke about his game.
"I think I did pretty well in this event showing myself, coaches, and everyone else how good I could be," said the 6-foot-7 Bennett.
Bennett was on a loaded Canada team but clearly made it clear he was one of the best players at the event that hosted some of the best high school recruits in the world.
Bennett lead his Canada team to a second place finish and individually Bennett was named to the International All Tournament Team.
After the event Bennett said he had no favorites but listed off offers from almost every college in the BCS conferences.
"Right now I am just playing the waiting game," he said at the time. "I plan on cutting my list down close to the time when I head back to school at Findlay Prep."
That time has come apparently.
Bennett tweeted out his final ten schools Tuesday morning.
Kentucky, UCONN, West Virginia, Oregon, Pitt, Florida, Missouri, UNLV, Ohio State, and Washington all made his final group.
During the Global games Bennett said he was looking for a program he could come right in and play and help the team play for an NCAA appearance.
Bennett also claimed distance wouldn't be a factor.
"I'm from Toronto so I am used to being far from home so it doesn't really matter to me," explained Bennett. "I'm just looking for that right fit with the players and coaches."
