According to multiple reports, former Oregon starting tight end Colt Lyerla was arrested by the Lane County Sheriffs Department Wednesday night in downtown Eugene for unlawful possession of cocaine and interfering with a police officer.
According to the LCSO, officers observed Lyerla sitting in a parked car on 7th and Polk St. with a white substance. He admitted to using cocaine and went back to his apartment with the officers, when he tried to run. He was later apprehended and booked into the Lane County Jail.
The former blue-chip recruit from Hillsboro left the team earlier this month after multiple team-related issues, and had already missed two games this season.
