The saga of Dontre Wilson is set to close tonight when he makes his final decision public.

Oregon fans have been back and forth on his recruitment since early this Fall. Despite repeated attempts by Ohio State, the four-star back remained committed to Oregon.

Once Chip Kelly departed for the NFL, the floodgates opened up and Wilson in fact took his trip to Ohio State.

With the final decision slated for later today, DuckTerritory has first-hand information regarding Dontre Wilson and where he will play his college football.

Bummer, that's a bummer man! I think all our egos are hurt a bit and are most worried about a future decline in the program post Chip era. Is this a sign of that, we will see in a couple years. For now, we are loaded on offense with young players so even studs coming in would have to fight for reps. I hope we hold onto the twins or my deep seeded hatred for Washington will escalate. I am an Oregonian and feel we will just always be fighting for respect in sports. Here is to optimism and the continued battle. Go Ducks!

Agreed. Another possibility, Ke'aun Kinner. More of a pure running back than Dontre is. I thought Wilson was a Duck without question. He said he wanted to carry on the tradition that LMJ and DAT had started. You will not find a better offense to fit his style of running... Oregon was made for him... Wow...

I agree. That kind of crude name calling can't really be good to represent our University, A young man makes a decision based on how he feels gets berated for it? Young people make a lot of decisions based on how the "feel" even though they may later realize it was a mistake. That kind of response to his decision will only make him feel he made the right one. Would love to have had him here but this kind of thing happens when there are coaching changes.

Wood Duck. Good catch on Kinner. I read some other stories and they said he was having to wait on his ACT to see if he qualifies. That's what has been holding down his offers.
He reminds me a little of another RB we got out of Texas a few years ago. You might remember him....LaMichael something. Pretty good back that ran hard, ran fast and NEVER gave up.

If he could qualify and we could sign him it would sure ease the sting of losing Dontre.
