Way to chase this one down, Hop. Still get the feeling that USC and Washington are the favorites, but I think it can said without any doubt that Oregon is very much a legitimate contender for Falah. Would be a major coup if Oregon could come away with his signature on LOI day.

I think there is a chance for Falah. I also think that the up front honesty and genuine character of Chip Kelly will stand out even more when held up against Lane Kiffin, Sark, and Tosh.

A definite + that Chip won the parents approval. Sounds like Nico decison still up in the air or Chip wouldn't have made it to their living room. Bottom line - Ducks still in it and this big fish swimming free in the pond.

I would up vote each of your posts in this thread 10 times if I could. I'm not buying a guy committed to Lane Kiffin values honesty as much as he makes it sound.

Nico committed fairly early to u$c I believe. It would be much more inconsistant had he decommitted now, yet still voiced interest in u$c.

Chip never would have done an in-home visit if he thought there was no chance to get Falah. I will wait to see how this one plays out. Chip and the staff will likely close this class on the upside as they always seem to do.

No matter what happens on LOI signing day, the Ducks will have a strong and talented team on the field next season.
