Oregon and Dana Altman will get an official visit from Domantas Sabonis, according to EuroHopes.com.
Sabonis is a 6-foot-9 power forward, and also the son of former Blazer Arvydas Sabonis. Domantas was born in Portland, OR but has grown up and played overseas.
Along with Oregon Gonzaga and Arizona State will get official visits from the stretch forward.
Sabonis averaged 14 points and 10.5 rebounds a game during the FIBA European U18 games recently.
Oregon sent assistant coach Kevin McKenna to scout Sabonis in Europe during the most recent evaluation period, which signals how important Oregon feels about Sabonis.
With Oregon's need for front court players in the 2014 class Sabonis is an interesting prospect. He can play on the block, but also move to the outside and draw his man outside. Oregon likes to employ a forward who can play outside and stretch the opponent's defense.
