The Jesuit Crusaders are one of the top teams in the state of Oregon every year and for junior Nicholas Rothstein the six-foot receiver has now earned a special invitation.
"I got my invite to the U.S. Army All-American Combine and so I am all registered for that," said Rothstein.
The talented receiver also has seen a two new schools pick up interest and also has another visit planned for an in-state school.
"Notre Dame has started to pick up contact," said Rothstein. "They are sending me more letters and e-mails and just picking things up. Boise State has also come at me harder and harder and picking it all up a lot more."
With the No. 2 ranked Ducks just a few hours away Rothstein was on hand for the Ducks victory over Stanford and now plans on going to Oregon again.
"I am going down to Oregon November sixth again for a visit to see the Ducks play the Washington Huskies," says Rothstein. "I still hope I can find a way to get down to Cal and UCLA but money is tight right now."
Rothstein also said his close friend Lochlin Deeks from West Salem High also will be going to the combine.
"Deeks and I are close friends cause we played in the West Linn youth football program and then I went to Jesuit and he moved with his dad to Salem," said Rothstein. "It's a special thing to see him and I both go to the combine."
