2014 Elite CB likes Ducks

One of the nation's elite corners in 2014 likes the Oregon Ducks and was recently visited by Oregon assistant coach Don Pellum.

  • That would be awesome to snag these guys out of Junipero Serra(sc country)... I already know this is a UO vs USC battle

  • Damn that team is stacked with talent. Be nice to get a couple of em!

  • Sc lock...have we ever gotten a highly recruited Serra athlete

    Back in Quack

  • Jackson is definitely tied for my #1 want for CB for '14. Tony Brown from Texas is the other and then Cameron Denson(who could also play WR) from Arizona and then Adarius Pickett from California.

All of these kids have expressed high interest in Oregon and the staff has made contact with all of them so there is alot of mutual interest floating around for some serious talent.

I've read people making comparisons between Jackson and Marquise Lee. Actually, I believe Serra's coach made the comparison. As far as athleticism and playmaking ability goes. Lee wanted to play CB, but SC felt he'd be better on the offensive side of the ball.

I think Adoree stays on the Dside, but you never know. Always a good thing when a kid with mutual interest is compared to one of the most dynamic players in CFB. Also, him being friends and teammates with two other Duck targets can't hurt. Could be a sweet package deal to get Jackson, Williams and Greene.

I think Greene and Manny Wilkins would be a great QB haul for the '14 class. Williams is an extremely fast and athletic LB that would fit our defensive scheme well and Jackson is one of the top DB's not just out West, but nationally. Yes please.

Get on them Pellum, Allioti, Neal, Helf and Chip. That would be a great trio for Oregon.

Definitely an SC feeder school, but you never know especially if we are pursuing all three of them and SC may only want one of them. Also SC is only going to be able to take 15 kids next year so they're going to have to be very selective. They already have three OLmen commited so they only have 12 spots left.

I know Adoree and Dwight were more impressed by Oregon at the SC/Oregon game. They were tweeting about Oregon during the whole game and they were on an SC visit. We'll see.

  • I remember their tweets..but I will more than creme fraiche if one or all came to the or

  • His quarterback and Oregon target Jalen Green doesn't like USC. Dwight Williams is an undersized LB for SC standards. Jackson is SC talent and on their radar but so is Oregon. Getting a visit will be key.

Might I just say KOD there is no need for me to post much because you say what needs to be said. Thank you for you thoughtful posts. You are truly a great part of this and every thread.

  • Adoree is an absolute stud and will make a HUGE impact wherever he lands.

As KOD stated, per below, Jackson's high school coach, Scott Altenberg, he compares favorably to a certain former Serra athlete.

I would be very surprised if he ends up anywhere other than SC, after all they aren't the S-erra C-avaliers for nothing. I think Williams ends up with an SC offer as well before all is said & done. He is very fast, has great instincts and is an intelligent backer.

Greene on the other hand may be available but after watching him twice in person this season, I imagine he will fall somewhere down the list of 2014 QB's for UO, behind Wilkins & Dawkins at least in Cali. He is a pretty raw passer but solid runner. Reminds me a little of Pat White. Would be a great fit in Rich Rod's system at UofA.

Adoree is originally from the Midwest. He's also a huge fan of the SEC and LSU. Fortunately for most LSU probably doesn't pursue him unless they miss on TX kids Brown and Paris, plus Louisiana boy Deebo Jones, and a few more.
