Another Commit for Hoops

Oregon has landed a verbal commitment from 6-foot-4 combo guard A.J. Lapray from Sprague high school in Salem, OR. Lapray had offers from Oregon State, Utah, Rice, San Francisco, and UTEP.
As a junior last season Lapray was the Central Valley Conference Co-Player of the Year and was also an All-State First team averaging 21 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 4 assists per game.
This isn't the mystery recruit I was talking about.

Does this mean that Oregon offered him a scholarship? Every recruiting site I've looked at says that Oregon hasn't.

Is he still at Sprague? On ESPN they said he was going to some HS in Canada. Also saw reports of him going to a school back east?

That's right jsaund. I recall hearing that he was going to a higher profile school back east too.
Edit: An AAU team in Canada last summer then to Evengal Christian school in Richmond, Virginia.
I guess I wont be walking down the street to watch him after all.

His jumpshot kind of reminds of Nowitzki's how he like kicks his right foot right before releasing the ball.

Good call on the Nowitzki comparison... deceptively athletic, although he did appear faster after the haircut midway through the highlights

It seems like he releases the ball right before stepping the ground.
