Armstead Decision?

  • Im curious if anyone knows when armstead is supposed to announce? When the deadline for him is considering he is enrolling early. Also, has our coaches staff completely given up on him, I know its dead period but I was thinking a psa can initiate conversation right? No downvotes please, just curious if anyone has heard something on him in awhile. Thanks

  • I don't expect him but as they say, "It ain't over 'til it is over." Who knows what might happen on the recruiting scene if we have an exceptionally dominant performance at the Rose Bowl? In addition, we never know what the next set of headlines are going to deliver --- for us or any other team. Until they drag the corpses off the field, keep shooting!

  • Honestly, who cares anymore? If he wants to go play with his 'boys' down in Berkeley and regularly lose 5 or 6 games per year, his loss. I'd rather have Buckner, because he WANTS to be in Eugene.

    Also, Buckner won't have to divide his attention between football and basketball. I'm over this guy.

  • AA is only human, meaning he could change his mind just like that. With all the Rose Bowl buildup he can always have one of those moments of realization. Or not. Who knows.

    It's not like he would just toss around a Kyle Long. Not the end of the world if we don't gettem. It's an 11-man sport. We would just do to him what we did to Stephen Pauia.

    As long as we can stay at least close to Cal in overall recruiting....

  • Is there a clear date when he has to commit? Biggins reported that he will visit UW or Aub, and isn't signing in the early period.

    I am not clear on the early signing period, does this mean he isn't going to enroll in Jan.?

  • The young man should do what is best for him. I think that taking his time after what appears to have transpired with USC is a very smart move on his part. If he needs more time to sort through it all, then more power to him.

    I would love to have him.

    I find it very funning that so many people (on all boards) complain about the PSA's changing their minds yet the fans go from "he is a must get' when the news is favorable to 'it is his loss' or think something is wrong with the PSA, if the news is not favorable.

    It just cracks me up! Adults living and dying with the thoughts and decisions of teenagers.

    Maybe we fans should start a new saying - Enjoy the Day

    I agree, but I think the underlying feeling is, we fans want the Ducks to be considered in the upper echelon of CFB. A sign of that, is being able to pull the Blue Chips from wherever.

    I just want to be able beat the best SEC team.
