The week keeps getting better for senior running back Kenjon Barner as he was named a semifinalist for the Doak Walker Award which is given to the nation's top running back.

He definitely deserves it. If he finishes strong, he should have the best numbers and if the Ducks finish strong, he should be on the best team.
Interesting that there are no SEC running backs on the list.
If he shows strong for the next 4 games its his.

I feel Barner has this one in the bag. It is his to lose at this point.
He just has to stay healthy and be able to put up 100 yards in the first half..
Did anyone notice that none of the semifinalists for the best running back are from the SEC, the conference that prides itself on the running game and rock-em sock-em football? Looks like the SEC is soft this year.
The PAC has three.
Here's the complete list of semifinalists:
Montee Ball (Sr.) Wisconsin
Kenton Barner (Sr.) Oregon
Le’Veon Bell (Jr.) Michigan State
Giovani Bernard (So.) North Carolina
David Fluellen (Jr.) Toledo
Johnathan Franklin (Sr.) UCLA
Stefphon Jefferson (Jr.) Nevada
Venric Mark (Jr.) Northwestern
Joseph Randle (Jr.) Oklahoma State
Stepfan Taylor (Sr.) Stanford
BTW, the SEC air attack is non existent also... so no ground game and no passing game... what do they have besides hype?
