What an exciting year it has been for Oregon basketball. There were many question marks entering the season with the departure of Armstead and Williams during the offseason and then talented freshmen Jabari Brown and Bruce Barron decided to leave the team just two games into the season.

This team hardly resembles the team that won the CBI championship last year. With new faces like Devoe Joseph, Carlos Emery Tony Woods, and Olu Ashaolu making their mark on Duck basketball, this team has developed an identity of it's own through the steady leadership of guys like Garret Sim and E.J. Singler.

With an impressive road win at Nebraska right after Barron and Brown left the team, there was reason to be optimistic. Unfortunately, it seemed as if the team stumbled it's way through the next 7 or 8 games. To their credit, they won most of them but just didn't seem in sync with each other It wasn't until three-quarters thru the season that they seemed be reaching their stride and could be called a real contender in the Pac-12.

It all came together in the home game against first place Washington in early February. Nearly every player on the team made notable contributions and the Ducks won 82-57.

In case any of you missed the game or just want to spend a few minutes reliving that magical night, I attached a link to the highlights of the game. The only problem I have with this video is that it doesn't include the "Just Like Football" chant from the PitCrew. That may have been my favorite part of the whole game!
