Damage control. There is a nasty rumor about some stuff that went down between players/relatives/former players and Miles before during and after the MNC game vs Alabama and that's why Kiel wanted out. Kids don't just walk away from a team with a top 5 defense and a QB opening for no good reason... I do understand he's from Indiana and that ND is close to home, but something stinks in Baton Rouge with the way Miles handled the QB situation.

Miles is a POS for trashing the kid like that. LSU fans should be embarrassed.

Yeah, that used to be the thought down there. I don't think it applies anymore. Regardless, we should feel very fortunate that we have a coach with much more integrity than Les Miles. Unreal.

While that sentiment no longer holds water as has been mentioned by a couple posters already, the gist of your commentary seems to be spot on. LSU fans by and large are not huge fans of Miles. I may have lucked out and hung out in a bar in Dallas with the only civilized and polite LSU fans before and after the game vs. Oregon, but across the board, none of them liked, respected or trusted Miles to run the program. They still miss Saban and think eventually Miles will run this program into the ground.

Imagine how bad Miles must be when he makes Brian Kelly look like a positive alternative. Because Kelly is one GIGANTOR prick.

Wow. Publicly lambasting an 18-year old kid for, effectively, chooosing a school outside of the mighty SEC. LSU offered him, his decision-making skills were obviously good enough until he decided to go elsewhere.

Les Miles = P-O-S.

I used to like LSU but the more I see and hear of Les Miles the more I can't stand him and the LSU program. It's funny how people acrossed the country rip on Chip and say he's a prick because he's witty but he doesn't hold a candle to Miles, Saban, Kelly, and even Meyer. Meyer has been pulling some shady shit too. It's too bad that some of these coaches forget what it's all about. They are not setting a very good example of what leadership is all about.
