If the story about his parents being 'surprised' is true then it makes me feel like its Oregon. Why would it be a surprise if it was Arizona when they've been a contender all along?
Next thing you know, he cuts Oregon, then adds them again after a couple months (first surprise), then hopefully told his parents he's choosing Oregon. The surprise being that he had already eliminated Oregon but somehow chooses them. All wishful thinking.
and the winner is? waym? Glad he moved announcement time up.
Here's that interview in which he says he made his decision 4 weeks ago. He kind of hesitates when asked about Arizona.
I guess maybe a surprise can also be Kentucky since they're so loaded and his family/coaches wouldn't expect he'd go there after Randle committed.
Aaron Gordon (Archbishop Mitty HS) will make his anticipated college decision on Tuesday. Scott Burgess of Chicagohoops.com caught up with him after Mondays...
Anyone know how to watch tomorrow's announcement live?
I too think Kentucky would be the biggest surprise in his parents eyes, partially due to the distance.
I would rather he go to Kentucky then any other Pac-12 school that isnt named Oregon.
he's not going to Kentucky ...
This is hard to get a grip on this. I was pretty sure he was headed to UA but I doubt that would have surprised his folks. So, again, I have my hopes UP!
4 weeks ago and surprised parents...... it feels like Oregon to me
I dunno if I would read THAT much into the whole "it'll surprise people" thing.
I've heard recruits say that in the past, and sometimes it is, sometimes it isn't. I mean what do you expect them to say "I'm announcing next week at a big pep rally. Everyone come out. I'm for sure committing to the school that everyone thinks I'm going to commit to."
That said, I think Oregon should have a shot. My gut tells me Arizona, but I hope I'm wrong *fingers crossed*

Goodness. If he did choose Kentucky that would shock not only his parents but the basketball world. It would take Wiggins breath since he hasn't finalized publicly. BTW, Wiltjer tweeted that he is returning to Kentucky. He won't start but against good zone teams like Syracuse in March he could be key. That team could be two deep in 15 year players.
If he indeed thinks he will be a one and done guy I cant think of a better place to go then Oregon due to the Nike connection, but I suppose if your as good as you think you are, endorsements will come no matter where your from.
I get what you're saying but that's not what he said. He said it surprised his parents and coaches when he told them who he chose not that it was gonna surprise people.
Sorry to add to this so late.
Yes I have been working the last week or so trying to track as much info down to make the best guess possible.
Like I pointed out in my article everything on paper says Oregon, but I am leaning to Arizona.
