Yup your the only one. Haha all in humor! But really he doesn't remind me anything of Jeff. He's shorter and his quickness/speed is not even comparable. Mix that with his change of direction skills he is kinda like a Tavon Austin type player (not quite DAT).
Speaking of DAT, I heard that he is really bulking up this off season and is already up to 185. He's gained close to 25 lbs since he got here. That's putting on some serious muscle in a 3 year period. I have also heard that the S&C staff at Oregon thinks that Dion will run in the 4.4s at the combine. I will never forget talking to DP about Dion switching to defense and he told me then that if Dion worked his ass off he would be a 1st rd pick. Well lo and behold, Dion busted his ass and will be a Top 15 pick. Couldn't happen to a better guy
He posted some pictures on Instagram a couple days ago and he looks much bigger. He looks ripped.
FWIW Saguaro plays most of the top teams in AZ. Not Texas level but as we see this year, AZ has loads of talent.
Not so sure. They're like 3A and the biggest schools are like 5A. They are a powerhouse and probably play some out of classification games, but I remember someone trying to make the case that Neal was better than Foster and used his superior competition as a point.
Inside joke. It appears it went over your head. Okay, maybe not Maehl, but definitely alot like Mickens. Had to do it...sorry:)
Nice. If DAT could play at 190ish he could see a significant amount of more carries. Wasn't LMJ about 5'9", 190 his final year?
I know it was.. Haha that's why I said "all in humor" and then I made a actual comparison.
I dont think LMJ cracked 190 until he started training for the combine. If he could come in at 185-190 I might have to add him to the 1000 yard rusher list for this year.
Yeah, he was close to 190lbs as a Sr, probably just under it. The thing I love about DAT as a RB is he's not afraid to stick his foot in the ground and get North/South and pound it inside. That's the one thing that just drove me nuts about KJB was his hesitation to stick his foot in the ground and pound it. He was always dipping to the outside, working his way to the sidelines. Obviously it worked for him, but IMO it caused him to lose yards that he didn't need to lose. Even though DAT isn't very big, he runs with an intensity that KJB just didn't seem to have. Kenjon had a hell of a season, but I think he could have had an even bigger year if he got North/South more. This is where LMJ excelled, pressing the hole then cutting it up inside.
This was 2 weeks ago, DAT looks significantly bigger to me.
Lookin like Clubber Lang right therrr
Definitrly looks bigger and more ripped. When he got to Eugene his biceps were about as big as his forearms are now. DAT at 190 is pretty ideal. I don't tnink he'll lose any of his speed or shiftiness either with the extra weight. OT, but I'm curious to see where Tavon Austin goes in the draft. It could give us an idea of where DAT might be projected.
All tnough, I think DAT will be a bit more desired by nfl teams. He's more electric in open spaces then Tavon is imo. Anyways, I forsee DAT having his marque season. 1000 yards on the ground, 500-600 yards through the air and 400 yards in return. I think he'll break 2000 all purpose yards. Big things for DAT.
Great point about Austin and where DAT could go in the draft. I think we all agree that DAT is more explosive with the rock. It's going to be really interesting to see what kind of a grade DAT gets from the NFL after next season.
CJ Spiller went in the top 10. I doubt DAT climbs that far, but I wouldn't rule it out.
IIRC, Foster was going to stay home due to family concerns. He lost his sister due to a drug overdose and his family needed him to stay close. He was ASU all the way and his coach helped keep it that way, no matter how much other schools appealed to him.
Had to watch this kids highlights again. This kid is special. He would kill it in our scheme. I'm usually not about offering sophmores, but I'd make an acception for this kid. He's a bit small, but he'll most likely grow some with two years left in hs. DAT is a little dude too so even if Kirl doesn't grow much he'd still kill it in our offense. Kid is electric. Also, any kid that has "Wave of Mutalation" by the Pixies as their highlight soundtrack is a must take in my book. As of now Kirk abd Iman Marshall are my top wants for '15 and it appears we have a very good shot for both of them.
