It's tough to compete in Illinois because the Big 10 love runs deep through those kids. Michigan and Ohio State are so relatively close and are obviously huge powers, and Notre Dame lurks outside the conference but not far outside the state.
Can't win 'em all, I suppose!
From what I have read we might be getting involved with a TE last named Elmore. I believe he is from the mid west also.
I'd like to see Oregon go hard after Bryce Dixon. He's the type of athletic TE that thrives at Oregon.
Bummer, thought we had a good shot at him but oh well. Don't really blame him, Michigan is a respected academic school, close to home, and Hoke seems to have them going in the right direction. For a kid from the Midwest there are worse places to spend 4 years than Ann Arbor. Next man up! Go Ducks!
Bummer twice. Bunting would a been a good pull, but Brice is a baller and carries a familiar and easy sir name for us Duck fans to remember. Nice that we have a great group at this position. I feel confident we will pick up another great prospect. Go Ducks!
So true. Travelled to Ann Arbor and watched Chip & DDixon mystify Coach Carr + 110K in attendance with double Statue of Liberty plays. The people were friendly and countryside beautiful. Tornado warning scared the living daylights out of us though.
We have so many TEs we don't know what to do with them all. Lyerla, Brown, Ka'ai, Baylis, Mundt. That's a 5 star and four 4 star guys, oh and the 6'7 250lb TJ Daniel. Sheesh.
At least he didn't go to Ohio State!
yep didn't make it out there for that game, but travelled out there for lacrosse while at Oregon. Ann Arbor was a fun college town and clearly supported well. Just a tad cold for my liking, but as a kid from the midwest, I am sure Bunting is used to it.
Ann Arbor is the best town I've been to in the Midwest...altho I haven't been to Madison!
Exactly. Losing out on a te is hardly going to break my heart with the current depth we have. This seems like a good move for this kid. I wish him well and have no doubt that we will still get at least one stud te for our class.
