It's now updated and available with the 2012 LOI included. All are speculative predictions of course, but it's a nice forecast in one spot. Enjoy!
USC is like a german car, every piece that breaks is of the highest quality.
Every year he projects walkons above the freshman...other than that obviously agree but hawkins starting over blackmon kelley, sumler Addison, etc? Imo he doesn't predict anything
Wow, such a young team. Oregon could end up losing fewer than 10 guys on the TWO DEEP after next year. That is crazy.
There is no way that Daryle Hawkins starts next year!!! He dropped passes and is the slowest reciever on the team. One of the RSFR is going to beat him out! There is no way they are kept off the field again because of Hawkins!!!
wondering what your guys opinion on moving christian french to the hybrid position on defense. the scouting on him was that he was a more natural defender that could run down any running back in the country where as on offense his hands and route running were suspect. i feel speed is overrated coming out of the TE positon just look at Paulson and underrated coming off the edge and in space on defense. buckner runs a 5 sec 40 so he will play strong side because there is know way he can cover in space and i see carriger and daniel as atleast a 3 year project. french could be ready to take over after jordan is done next year. this is all based on whether white recovers or brian teague improves enough to be a solid backup. thoughts?
Yep. The depth chart will be more telling after Spring ball.
With the addition of Brown, Bayless, and White now healthy, TE is now loaded deep with young talent that can play early. Maybe it's time to move Lyerla and French to outside linebackers. Their talent and speed on defense would be unbelievable. Lyerla and French should be every down impact players - they along with Alonzo and Wallace in the middle, and with Clay and Lokombo, would be a lockdown linebacker group.
Behind Armstead, Heimuli, Hart/Bair, and Jordan, this could be our best defense up front in years.
I love the chile Duck depth chart every year but have to really disagree with the Hawkins receiver column. Don't think with the receivers we now have in the fold that anybody in that column plays much at all, much less starts.

Haha, yeah that WR column has Hawkins starting with a bunch of walkons behind him.
One other thing that sticks out:
The team will only have 9 scholarship OL players for the 2013 season. That's not even a two deep so we will see true freshmen in the rotation that year. Injuries could be disastrous there.
hes not slow. he jest cant catch. look up his 40 befor saying stuff that isnt true. LT was sooooooo much slower, and staford is alot slower to.
last year he was faster then dj of jeff. look it up and youll see im right. i think the couches like him or he wouldn't of played. thats wut i think.
Can somebody fill me in on Curtis White? Didnt really pay much attention to recruiting before this year. I keep hearing that he's going to be a stud but that he's always injured.
Can somebody fill me in on his strengths? And on his injuries?
i never sead he was that much faster then stanford, jest fast and you can look it up. im right.
Stetzon Bair only spent one year at JC. He will only be a Sophomore next Fall, with 4-to-play-3, so he will probably redshirt. He could use a year working with coach Rad to bulk-up and won't be needed, since Hart, Keliikipi, Heimuli, Remington and Ebert return in 2012. All but Remington will be back in 2013 as well.
White is supposed to have great hands. Before this year there was some talk about his shoulder which has had 2 surgeries, but in an interview before the rose bowl he said his shoulder felt great and the 2nd surgery really fixed the probelm. There is no reason to think he can't recover and should be cleared to run in the spring. If he can he is probably higher ranked as a tight end than either of the two kids in this class, who Kelly said were the top 2 on their board. Good reason to be hopeful for White.
5 star stud and also a Eugene boy. Localy grown...organic:) I personally want to see him play LB if he is 100% healthy.
I meant DE/LB hybrid.
Exactly - why put your BEST TE on defense? Colt is unbelievable and now that he has his freshman year under him, watch out..
Hawkins came in as a QB, maybe it's just going to take him a little bit to get adjusted. As short of time as we are on the field, the WR position looks awfully deep - how are all those guys going to get to play?
Enjoy Life, it has an expiration date.
It's going to be exciting seeing all these new kids getting into the rotations!
What stands out to me is that we now have 11 WR's and 14 O lineman on schollie. For a team not known for passing, that is a hell of a commitment to WR position. i still think we aare light on the Line but the coaches know way more than me where they want to spend scholarships.
If you look back at the classes, there were a bunch of project-type guys + guys who never performed at the WR position prior to last year's class. Fortunately (for the schollies), a lot of those guys have left the program.
I think the staff really wanted to upgrade the talent there. I guess we'll see how Dungy, Hawkins and Lowe perform this year.
Are Hoffman and Cantu officially "retired" due to injuries? Neither are shown on the depth chart.
