Great pick up. Really like his game

"Release Me Cuhhhhhhhh"
At his allstar game(underarmor?) he was the one WR who was rutinely mentioned as getting separation from everyone. He caught the ball well and of course blew by people with the ball in his hands. DEEP threat, will stretch the field and make one safety play deep allowing others more space to work. Can he block though? We shall see.
Does this make Carrington hurry up and reaffirm?
What if JW commits on Monday?
Will that leave DC out of the picture?
6 spots left-right?
So what dose he run in track again?
Looks like our recent investments are paying BIG dividends already.
Don't you recognize Jeff Maehl?
I read that blocking was one of his stronger points also. Very excited with this QUACK!!!
Really? Chris Carter says "C'mon Man!!!"
Excited for the pick up but definitely no DAT comparison.
Very exciting capture. Very good hands. Some Autumn day in Palo Alto, Seattle, or LA it will be 4th and seven and this kid will be money.
He's a sprinter and a hurdler.
Here are a few of his junior year times and they are a few of the best in the entire country. World class speed:

Interesting... Not what I expected. Kid looks like a qb.
Great pick up to break the funk though. Helf doing work.
Just kidding, actually really excited about his future at Oregon.

"Devon Allen is a 6-foot-1 187-pound Wide Receiver from Phoenix, AZ. He is ranked No. 341 in the country by 247Sports. Allen is the No. 6 recruit in Arizona (AZ) and is the No. 43 Wide Receiver in the nation. Allen has a 247Sports rating of 89, making him a 3-star prospect. Allen was an all-state selection following his junior season. He totaled 44 receptions for 844 yards and 14 touchdowns, 26 carries for 228 yards and a touchdown, 22 punt returns for 295 yards and a touchdown and 13 kick off returns for 435 yards and a touchdown. All told, Allen posted 105 touches for 1,802 yards (17.2 per touch) and 17 touchdowns for an average of 150.2 all-purpose yards per game. He's also an elite track athlete (state record-holder in the 110-hurdles and 300 hurdles). In May of 2012, he reported a top six (in no particular order) of: Arizona State, Arkansas, Ohio State, Stanford, UCLA and Washington."-247Sports bio
He is no DAT, but look at where he contributes-everywhere, but D!
17.2yds a touch! Very DAT like.
State record hoder in 110&300 hurdles-filthy!!!
Love it ... a bigger and significantly faster Jeff Maehl sure works for me !!!
QUACK CITY!!! PERFECT FIT!!!

OK....not only am I impressed with this commit, I am impressed with the new hire. Super way to start a new era!
I am VERY excited about this. I always wondered why we didn't offer him sooner. But I am already liking the way recruiting has picked up under Helfrich. His hiring of a great WR coach is great too.
This is what we need. BALANCE. Run when we want...Pass when we want. Guys like Devon are really going to open up the passing AND Running game.
So excited now.
More of a burner but not real easy to bring down, sloppy tackling won't get it done. Does a good job of sealing the edge on run plays (pretty important in our offense).
why no comparison? he has incredible speed to be offered track scholarships in the hurdles is what i was referring to.

Had a great feeling he would be Helf's first. Congratulations Helf, Devon. Can't wait to see the crisp route running you have in a Duck Uni.
There are probably 50 guys in college football who are comparably fast to DAT. His speed isn't what makes him so special. It's his suddenness, vision, and ability to cut aka explode upfield. I've never seen a guy who looks like he's accelerating when he cuts N/S. Unreal. Being fast just helps him finish the job once he's past everyone.

Honorable mention, pre-offer even.
DuckTerritory lists five potential names that could end up Ducks by national signing day.

Not to mention he doesn't have DAT's speed, nor will he play RB.
