Cliff Harris? LeGarette Blount? I'd be careful tossing around the word "degenerates" if I were you.
Half price appetizers after ten, son.
Lol. They don't beat women. Cliff smoked some weed...wow. A college kid experimenting. Crazy stuff. LGB? So what? He knocked out a BSU player for talking shit. At least he hit a man :)
Seriously, there is absolutely no comparison between Oregon's criminals and Urban's criminals. Urban's guys are up there with Switzer's '80's oklahoma teams for campus criminals terrorizing a student body.
Who was the dude that stole the laptop from the frat house? More college "hi jinx" I suppose?
He was the Heisman candidate that Kelly kicked off the team. Tough call for a second year coach.
Enjoy Life, it has an expiration date.
+1 With both barrels, Ay Matey! ("subhuman numbnuts"? Can't stop laughing)
that made me lol
How about we talk about the Stubenville rape crew, wasn't the main guy on scholarship at OSU
For real. Anything we can do Urb can do better.
Sir he is now UrbO since he's trying to turn his program into the university of Ohiogon.

I wasn't going to get involved in this because I don't see the point, but since people keep insisting on labeling OSU/Meyer dirty:
LaMichael James was arrested for a domestic violence charge as well, do you look at him the same way you do Chris Rainey? The charges were reduced, but that doesn't really explain the abrasions she had (I read a report after that tried to clear him by saying he tackled her to the ground because she stole his car-keys? okay...). That wasn't even the first time he was arrested or charged with assault/battery. Both LaMichael James and Chris Rainey are pathetic for laying their hands on a woman. The list of Ducks who've been arrested over the last several years is actually quite extensive. LaMichael James (once before getting to UO, once after iirc), Kiko Alonso, Jeremiah Masoli, Tyson Coleman, Isaac Remington, Dustin Haines, Cliff Harris, Josh Huff, etc. I could go on for days. Oregon has had 5 football players arrested in the last two years, alone.
That doesn't mean the Ducks run a dirty program. In my opinion that's college football today, unfortunately. Urban Meyer didn't have a problem with players arrested at BGSU or Utah, I don't see it as an UM-specific issue.

So after next year when Carlos Hyde goes to the NFL can we come back and play???
Wilson will not be a RB at OSU, he'll be in the slot, has Urban put any receivers in the NFL??
You mean the part where he "placed his hands on her throat and applied pressure, resulting in a strangulation charge. During the altercation she was forced to the ground or knocked to the ground and sustained some abrasions"? That sounds like domestic violence to me. It's weird to me that you guys would make excuses for that. I wouldn't make excuses for Storm Klein being a woman-beating waste of life. I'm also not sure how you can apply Rainey's domestic violence charge to Meyer when Meyer hasn't had much of anything to do with Rainey in over three years and Rainey was just charged with domestic violence two weeks ago? The aggravated stalking charge (also pathetic) was the one during Meyer's run.
I don't care to defend any of the criminals who played for Meyer or anyone else. Nor would I defend Pryor and company. But to me this is college football, happened at Florida and happened at your beloved Oregon, as well.
Still don't get the argument for Meyer's RBs production. Wilson isn't being recruited at RB.
What is a "discrace"?
Chris Rainey hasn't been convicted of domestic assault either.
He's probably showing him the 100+ years of history, all the Heisman Trophies, NC Trophies, NFL Draft Picks, All Americans, etc.....probably hasn't mentioned Oregon, since their offense will now be run in Philadelphia.
I agree Oregon is a beautiful state, I have family there, but if kids picked schools for the climate San Diego State would be #1 in recruiting every year.
Nah, I don't defend Gators. I think you've misunderstood or just don't care where I'm coming from (more likely). My point is Meyer, not Florida. The SEC has the highest arrest rates in all of college football, before Meyer was there, while Meyer was there, and since he's left. I couldn't care less about woman-beater Chris Rainey, I just don't ascribe that to Meyer. The same way I don't ascribe all of the arrests at Oregon to Chip Kelly. I ascribe it to the state of college football in general.
I would rather Oregon win 10 Nat'l Championship before the SEC wins another, especially Florida. Sorry for going off-topic this long, I'll shut up and let you guys return to Dontre Wilson (which is why I came to this thread in the first place lol).
Is this same Urban Meyer who kicked Storm Klein off the team only to bring him back a week later? lol, or what about Jake Stoneburner, Jack Mewhot, Brionte Dunn, Dominic Clark & Ray Smalls, all were arrested in the last year.
Urb has plenty of criminals on his watch. He doesn't need Rainey to bolster his numbers. It was tosu fans who brought up Rainey to make the case for Urb getting an rb into the NFL.
And Oregon having 5 arrests in 2 years is just an example of the state of college football. Especially since several of those charges were dropped. Go check the police blotter from uf under Urb. They had multiple years with over 20 arrests... per year! That is not just the way it is in college football, that is a criminal culture that Urb both perpetuates and tolerates. I know the man wins games but he has shown that he is willing to compromise anything to do it. Kelly at Oregon made it a point to weed these types of characters out through his focus on character in recruiting. Urb just doesn't care. I hope Columbus is ready because if Urb hasn't changed then he will bring a new level of chaos and mayhem to your campus.
Urban Meyer had 30 kids arrested in 6 years at Florida. During that same time he only had 30 players get drafted. Also Rainey had an arrest during this time in 2010 for Aggravated Stalking. Not bad though a 1:1 ration of arrest to drafts.
Maybe the reason Meyer didnt have the same problem at his first schools because the pressure to win wasnt there like Florida. So he could be more strict with is players, but when it came to Florida he couldnt risk his "good players" not being on the field. Example Brandon spikes caught on tape trying to eye gouge a player and Urben Meyer only suspending him for the first half against Vandy. Oya Brandon Spikes had to go to Urben Meyer and ask him to suspend him for the full game. Think about that a competitive athlete whohad to go his coach and ask him to suspebd him for the whole game.
Thing is your right that all Colleges will have issues, but more importantly it is how the coaches handle those situations. When it ultimately comes down to it does Urban Meyer cares more about winning when the pressure is there or punishing "good" players when needed. My personal opinion is when he was at Florida he cared more about winning.
So do you think Ohio State expectations are more like Utah/BGSU or Florida's?

More like Florida's. Thanks for replying to me respectfully (to those who posted on the last page or so). I apologize if my earlier posts came off disrespectful, that wasn't where I was trying to come from, but I can understand if that's how it sounded.
IRT to Dontre Wilson (the topic of this thread):
Ohio State gave him a cookie cake where they couldn't even get the facemask color correct. I sadly have to concede him to you guys at this point haha. Mega-fail.
Thank you for demonstrating that it is possible to engage in healthy debate without being reduced to juvenile personal attacks. As far as I'm concerned, I would welcome you to share your thoughts at DT anytime.
Come on. Do you think if a black man actually strangled a woman the charges would be dropped? Not going to happen.
