Well he didn't flip on his visit so at least he's keeping his head about things. Lets hope he thinks enough of coach Cam to stick with Oregon.
make the call JHop... what's you gut say?
KOD... calling you out. Weigh in big boy.
Enough back and forth... I want odds.
My gut says 51-49 Ducks.
i was having some fun... speak up if you have something to say
Of course OSU showed him a good time on his visit. That's the point of an OV. Him not commiting on the trip is good news. I think a few days pass and the high of his visit wears off I think he solidifies his commitment and ends up a Duck, or stays a Duck. Hopefully coach Cam calls him ASAP and reminds him of why he chose Oregon months ago. I say Oregon 65% OSU 35%.
I would put the odds much higher. I think there is a chance for osu but only because I respect UrbO so much as a recruiting competitor. I think Dontre is pretty set on Oregon and I would put the odds at 85-15 for the Ducks.
Think back to yesterday and the frantic poster from tOSU site (visualize kid in his mom's basement, wearing a "Maurice Clarett Rocks" hoodie with days of dried Cap'n Crunch and milk on the front.)
He's your man.
I'd really like the Duck staff make a late push for some of their top recruits. I'd love to see them go after Bosa and another late push for Mitchell. Play Urby's game.
Looking at all that has been said by Dontre during the past several months I would find it quite unlikely that he would be flipping at this point. After the Oregon coaches visit it appeared to me that Mathis found an out from all of his previous talk, as he was very complimentary of Oregon's staff. I wonder if Dontre, in addition to checking things out for himself, is not possibly opening doors for other DeSoto players and that Mathis is keeping channels open with all the coaches he can. The whole you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours.
From JHops and others reporting, excluding the 247 guys that report for the Bucks, who apparently can't get a return call from Dontre or his dad, only Mathis, Dontre appears to be a very low key guy. Oregon or Oklahoma State appear to be much more compatible for him than Ohio State. Additionally, Oregon is much more likely to play in BCS games than Oklahoma State. Lastly, he is committed to Oregon.
For those looking for odds - Oregon 85%+ - Ohio State less than 10% - Oklahoma State - less than 5%.
that actually made me laugh... TY
i agree with Ed O. just a strange recruitment. always interesting and somewhat confusing when someone outside the family (coach) gets involved. it it to build inroads at two great schools for deSoto. i know the school. played down in texas. small town. 100% friday night lights.
but gut says he comes to Oregon. he'll be a star!
