I know there have been very few to come out here because they like to play four cream-puffs in their stadiums and are afraid of being exposed along way from home.
I can only think of Mississippi State coming out to Eugene and getting whipped in 2002 and now Tennessee (who will get whipped). I do give Tennessesse credit for having some balls.
But their arguement that they wouldn't make enough money to justity it is weak. They are simply afraid.
Yep, Tennessee is only the second SEC team ever to come to Eugene. Simply pathetic.
Ducks have made three trips to Baton Rouge (1-2). A trip to Athens Georgia (0-1) and a trip to Columbia Missouri (0-1). Ducks swept MSU and will sweep the Vols. Come on Georgia, LSU and Misssouri...come on out to Eugene. We all know they won't. Georgia already backed out.
Perhaps it would be good to ask how many we've played in Autzen. 1 win is only 1 win (expecting the second this September). I think Georgia bailed on us, but I don't know if we've ever played others.
Maybe I misunderstood, but 1 for 1 isn't really much to brag about.
Your point about them not wanting any part of us out here is legit though!
You anticipated me.
I would love to see a few more come out this way... but I think you're right. It isn't likely to happen. Props to the Vol's for coming.
I like winning as much as the next guy
But don't put this game in the W column already.
Respect all, fear none
And counting this as a win already is not respecting the Vols
You're entitled to your opinion, as I am mine.
I respect Tennessee.
And we are going to whip them.
I'm a fan, not part of the team. I don't need to respect any opponent. What I do has zero impact on the outcome. I will keep right on assuming we will whip Tennesee.
Didn't we have a home and home series with Vandy a few years ago? Or did we only play there?
Edit: it was Purdue that I was thinking of, my bad.

Well, generally it keeps one's pride intact to respect each and every opponent. I don't want to say "we are going to beat this team into the ground" because it just makes me seem arrogant. I don't want to lose and be made a fool of. ...besides...crow doesn't taste very good.
Maybe it's the beer talking, but I find it funny you say you're not part of the team and then say "we" are going up whip them.
Probably just the beer.
I thought it was the gin and tonic myself +1
Not just the beer, there is certainly some irony in my statement. I always accidentally refer to Oregon football as "we" knowing full well I have zero affiliation other than a degree from the university. I also wear my lucky shirt on game days, knowing that from a rational perspective it is an absurd action on my part. I just found it amusing that the Gliver thinks I or "we" as fans should "respect all opponents and fear none." It was just kind of cliche' coach speak, not really applicable to fans of a sports team.
Let me do some research for you.
Oregon's home OOC losses since 1990: 4.
2008-Boise St, 2004-Indiana, 1994-Utah, 1992-Hawaii.
There you go. 22 years of home OOC losses. I decided to see what the "most intimidating stadium in the country" had on us since 1990. In LSU's defense, they haven't lost a home OOC game since 2000. Regardless:
LSU's home OOC losses since 1990: 8.
2000-homecoming loss to UAB, 1999-Houston, 1997-unranked Notre Dame, 1994-Texas AM, 1994-Southern Mississippi, 1992-Texas AM, 1992-Colorado St, 1991-Florida State.
And Alabama? Pathetic. I stopped after 2000.
Alabama's home OOC losses since 2000: 6. '07-LOUISIANA FREAKING MONROE, '03-Oklahoma, '03- NORTHERN ILLINOIS BEFORE THEY WERE GOOD. '01-UCLA, '00-UCF, '00-Southern Miss.
But given LSU and ALabama's track record the last 6 years, they aren't exactly hanging their heads.
