Matt Miller @nfldraftscout:
If the draft were tomorrow: 1. KC- Geno Smith, 2. JAX- Jarvis Jones, 3. CAR- Luke Joekel, 4. OAK- Manti Te'o, 5. CLE- Dion Jordan

Follow me because I may just win the internet one day.
I would wager that none of those guys outside of Jones is top 5. Te'o could slip in there but we will see.
While I would super happy for Dion, the Browns need help on O not D.
Hope it happens though!
I am a die hard Chiefs fans and am having a very hard time figuring out who the chiefs will draft. They clearly need a QB bad... but there isn't a number 1 pick QB out there. I think if they don't go QB then they will take Te'o, who IMO is a complete inside linebacker
Dion is really all over the map on these things. I've seen some where he's top 10, i've also seen several where he's not even first round. He seems to be a hard guy for people to figure out where he fits. If he had done more pass rushing this year and less dropping into coverage I think he would be going higher more often. The NFL loves pass rush.
I see Dion going to the Cowboys(this would make me sick) or Giants(perfect fit)

I was certainly suprised to see Dion's name in there, but am I the only one that sees Geno Smith as the typical/probable selection to Oakland? I think Jones and Te'o are both in the top 5.
Not sure Geno is thaaaat bad, by #1 pick???
If I forgot to thank you in my post, my apologies and thanks in advance for your understanding.
Dion, if he's still on the board, is a lock to go to Dallas and replace Anthony Spencer, who isn't close to worth the monster contract he's asking for (and will probably get).
More and more teams are living by the golden rule: "1st round picks should ONLY be spent on players who directly and significantly impact the passing game: QB, WR, LT, DE, CB".
Dion will be taken top-20, even with a somewhat disappointing year statistically.
Also, the top-10 is pretty weak, meaning a few surprises will definitely sneak in. Dion could be one of those surprises. Not much difference b/w the 5th and 15th pick this year.
He's a QB, and the best QB many times goes #1, plus KC is in desperate need of one. There is no better quarterbacks in this draft than Geno.
I look for Dion's stock to really rise at the combine. Like usual most people underrate players from the West Coast and Oregon especially when it comes to NFL talent. i could see Dion just blowing away the competition at the combine.
If he does really well at the combine I could see the Raiders drafting him as they really need help at LB and the pass rush.
I really, really hope my Ravens go for Jordan. I think he'd be a great sleeper pick for a late first round pick. We really need an ILB and a safety because Lewis and Reed have one foot out the door, but I really like the idea of getting another fast pass rusher off the edge on the opposite side of Suggs.
Those two would be dangerous rushing the QB and then DJ could drop into coverage and blanket most TE's. We drafted Kindle years ago to help rush the pass with Suggs, but that obviously didn't work out. Kindle was going to be a DE/OLB hybrid and Dion is your prototypical hybrid.
Ravens really need an ILB, but Teo is the only MLB who I think is worthy of a first round pick. I'd love to see the Ravens get Jordan in Rd 1 and then make some trades to get two second round picks and take Ogeltree at ILB and then Eric Reid or Matt Elam at safety. If we can't get two 2nd rd picks I'd like to see us get one of those two safeties in the late 2nd rd and then go for Skov at ILB in rd 3.
Mauti is good, but he was injured I believe. 4th rd I'd like to see us go for an OLinemen or another CB. 5th rd same thing. OL or CB and the 6th and 7th get the best WR available and perhaps a NT because Cody sucks. Come on Ozzie. Get it done.
You think he will slip to late 1st round? I don't think he is a top 5 pick but he will be gone by the 15th pick I would bet. Like others stated...he will fly up drafts boards with a quality combine. His size and speed reminds me of some of the Defenders on the Giants. They really get after it.
Matt Miller really likes Jordan as a prospect, probably a little higher on him then most. Though McShay has Dion 14th on his big board right now so...
All-seeing instrument. Supreme perception. Omnifocal accumulator... Its gaze upon the blind. Information divinity by man designed.
Kiper doesn't have a QB in his top 20. Not sure what the consensus is, but top 5 for Geno or Barkely is looking like a reach. Entirely possible that none of the top teams take a QB and one of them trades into the end of the first round for the first QB off the board.
Kiper? Lol. His grading isn't based on where a player will actually get drafted. It's not a mock draft, it's just a skill grade. That being said, Kiper isn't even good at player evaluations. The only reason he has that job is because he's been ESPNs face of it for so long. Just be because he's a bad "scout," doesn't mean people don't want to watch him come draft day.
I don't think him showing some versatility in coverage is going to hurt his stock as a 34 OLB.
