Check out Aaron Fentress's piece on where the Ducks stand on recruiting right now...
Oregon is still in play for some high-ranking recruits but has landed just one Top 100 player.
But sweet that we're still in play for Murphy!
The same kind of guy who would publish something this shotty would be the same kind of person to prematurely publish something that wasn't true about somebody going pro, only to find out THAT person hadn't made their mind up.
Wait same guy? Interesting.
...why do some people even go into journalism?
Yet another writer who doesn't get it:
"Given that Oregon is coming off three BCS bowl game appearances, including a national title game showing and a Rose Bowl win, one would figure the streak of landing true Blue Chip recruits would continue."
Sure success helps and might get you in the door, but the biggest factors in recruiting by far are:
1. does the recruit like the staff
2. can the recruit meet their goals with the team (does he fit in chemistry wise as well as scheme wise)
3. how far does the recruit have to travel
4. what does the program or school do to help the recruit succeed
USC is like a german car, every piece that breaks is of the highest quality.
" Autzen Stadium is where great teams go to die."
– J. Brady McCullough, The Michigan Daily
Now he is correcting his wrong information with more wrong information in the blog. What a joke...
My cultured ears aren't used to such base, crass language, sir. I'd down vote you, but I'm out of votes for the day.
Fentress is now CONFIRMING that Shaq committed to UCLA.
I was under the impression that oregon recruiting news breaks HERE first.
"Release Me Cuhhhhhhhh"
Apparently this Oregonian reporter needs a subscription to Duck Terrotory so the information he reports can be up-to-date and accurate.
Fentress has no clue what he is talking about. It amazes me that he is still employed. It's not the spreading of lies like Canzano but just the incredible lack of knowledge he has regarding the Ducks. I don't need the local writers to be Duck fans but I do expect them to know what the hell they are talking about.
