Then read his words where he said multiple times it was also about gender. Why don't you address that? Is that so hard, or are you guys just trolling?
Using the term 'butthurt' should probably be eliminated first.
If I forgot to thank you in my post, my apologies and thanks in advance for your understanding.
Because the gender thing is true. They used an effeminate color on purpose. I didn't bring up the gender issue because it's more complicated, and I get sick of it. I am 100% for equal rights but people try and pretend like there aren't huge biological differences in the two sexes. For that reason, painting a room pink and insinuating they have less testosterone isn't an issue for me personally.
Lol, your problem with this is you see it as bullying?
wow,, bunch of sensitive sallys,, this is rediculous! next thing ya know Oregon is gonna face a lawsuit since the visiting teams locker room isn't just like our locker room with all the bad ass stuff in it,,, give me a break!!
That's not it. Saying something SHOULDN'T be offensive doesn't make it ok.
The friggin' coach is on record saying that is soothes, and plus is the color little girls color the room. Homophobia is closely related to femiphobia--which is basically the fear of femininity.
I agree, it SHOULDNT be offensive, but the way they handled it, it is. Pink should be fine for men to wear. Like MBG said, let's evolve.
Otherwise I gotta say it's a resounding debate victory for the likes of DYD/MBG/Trogor, Etc.
Here comes the pitch! And whoa! The batter is actually in the wrong stadium! Whiff-o-rama!
You're very progressive and the rest of us are embarrassments who should be stuck in the past, we get it.
But let us not pretend that they are "insinuating they have less testosterone". They are associating a color that represents femininity with weakness, lameness, etc. Again, I don't really care either way, but can we just call a spade a spade? There are biological differences between races, but it wouldn't be okay to paint a lockerroom like a 1960's blackface cartoon, so why is it okay to belittle a gender? And of course, femininity is associated directly with homosexuality in men, another thing people are lying to themselves about in this thread. It's not some gigantic leap, it's next freaking door. The back door. HAHA!

Winner, and yes, let's move on. Points have been made. People who can't think their way out of a wet paper bag have been identified.
This thread is gay as hell. Break out the Vagisil.

Trodgor was a dragon man. or maybe he was just a dragon.
And he's right. Boom.
Your avatar has muscles and fire and looks pretty damn masculine and bad ass.
Do I have the right to be offended? because I'm not. I'm pretty damn impressed.
I just think when we open the door to labeling things like this offensive or requiring them to change the locker room, we are opening a pandora's box of PC bullshit.
I see what you're trying to do there. Clever.
Oh wait, no it's asinine. As always. Moving on to greener pastures now.
Enjoyed the debate.
People that don't agree with me = wrong. and bigots. and have their head in the sand.
No. You just can't look beyond your monkeysphere. Google it.
I appreciate the humor attempt, but imo, not that it matters, using gay to mean dumb or weak or lame is well...gay. It's an indication of a lazy and/or dumb, weak, or lame mind(which you've firmly established is exactly the case). And in many cases is simply an indication that the user is sexually insecure.
da da da da burninating the country...side!
I was at Edgewood Elementary when I was 8? and they made us stop using the phrase "smear the queer". This was in like 1990. Get with the times people. lol
I've seen more personal insults and judgements thrown out by the moral police in this thread, than those that aren't offended by the color pink. Just saying.
I can't wait for football ...errrrr Sarcastaball in the PC future. Where teams have a hug-off and berate eachother with comments like 'you are equally as strong, and masculine as myself, but I will win this match via strategy!'
Please be compassionate, as you are clearly the most evolved among us.
