One of the guys from draftbreakdown.com said that the matchup between Ifo and Lee during the USC game will be one of the first videos he does for the 2014 draft. Said it really stood out when he was watching Alonso's SC film.
All-seeing instrument. Supreme perception. Omnifocal accumulator... Its gaze upon the blind. Information divinity by man designed.
What stood out? Ifo clearly played hi heart out but at time didn't have the physical ability to stop lee. Obviously I'm biased web a td gets scored against my ducks but did he feel ifo did better than most? Ifo had to put his whole body into lee just to bump and press.
I don't know he just said that the MATCHUP stood out and that Ifo would be one of the first 2014 draft videos he uploads.
Nobody in the country to include multiple NFL All Pro DB's will stop Lee.
Just interested in what that matchup had over other opponents lee faced.
Ifo will be a Junior next season. I wonder if he comes back for his senior year? He was first team All-Pac and he was third team All-American on a couple sites. I think if he stays his senior season he will find himself as a finalist for the best DB award(forget the name). Is it the Thorpe Award?
Anyways, I could see him possibly winning that and making consensus first team All-American. I also think he'll be a future 1st Round pick in the draft, but I think he'll need a senior year to accomplish all of this. Am I alone here or does anyone agree with me?
I saw a tweet to McQuay or it could've been to his dad where a Duck fan said that Reggie Daniels and LMIII at safety with Ifo and T-Mitch at CB would be the second coming of the D-Boyz. I smiled when I read that. I agree completely. I think that secondary could rival the OG D-Boyz.
If Ifo stays four years then we could get one year of that foursome being the starting unit. That would be such a nasty DB unit.
I agree. I do feel he gets baited a lot. He seems to bite on that first move looking for the big play. Ala abbrederis first td last year, granted that wa a money play call, but his speed and athleticism are certainly first round potential.
The Dude has improved with every game this season and last season. Oregon Defense has lead the country in turnover margin this season. Ifo has had 4 interceptions and 1 fumble recovery and a big part of that ratio, He's a baller out on an island at corner.
I hope you're right KOD. That would be the second coming of D-Boyz for sure. I'd love to see him play through his senior year. That may be wishful thinking. These talented young men like Ifo have high personal goals and one of them is to take care of their families.
Or pass break ups
You mentioning that he gets baited sometimes is something I noticed as well. That's why I'm hoping he takes advantage of a senior year so he can fine tune his craft.
Lee came out of high school developed and ready for the NFL.. It's hard to say that any DB could have stopped him. And I know that everyone hates the "SEC defense" crap.. but I don't think anyone in the SEC could have slowed Lee down. He's going to be a monster in the League. Our secondary is going to be very good next year with T-Mitch, Ifo, Dargan, Jackson, Scale, Dixon, and Mathis
Not to forget Reggie Daniels who I think will become an ABSOLUTE monster for us in the next few years.
John Neal has done a great job with our secondary.
