Defeat doesn't finish a man - quit does. A man is not finished when he's defeated. He's finished when he quits. - Richard Nixon
The future is looking Rosy
Lol thats awesome if true. Bye bye kiffen.
That the kids got hurt? That's awesome?
Even if I dislike a school, I would never wish for an athlete to get injured. I'm not sure how you find it awesome that they're both injured. Also, kiffen is exactly who we want to be head coach...
I just wonder what exactly is going on down in LA? They say that the reason they weren't very good on defense last season is because they couldn't be really physical in practice due to numbers and they didn't wanna get guys hurt. However, the Ducks don't do a ton of hitting during a game week and they sure seem to play physical enough. In the end, it just ends up sounding like more excuses which isn't surprising when you consider the program. I would never cheer the injury of a player, but I would be lying if I said that there weren't times where I thought," You know, if that kid hurt his knee in practice this week it wouldn't break my heart".
The HC who I played for and coached with the last 5 years had a long talk with Coach Cav(OSU's OL coach) at the Nike Coaching Clinic a few weekends back. He asked Cav if it was a tough decision to turn down SC and stay coaching the Beavs. Cav said to be totally honest, it really wasn't a difficult decision in the end for one simple reason. LANE KIFFEN. He said that obviously the chance to work with SC type talent was very intriguing but when he started weighing the pros and cons of working for Kiffen as opposed to working for Mike Riley, it wasn't even close. IMO that tells you all you need to know about what's going on down at SC. A guy turned down quite a bit more money and the chance to coach big time NFL talent at one of the most historic programs in the history of college football in order to stay at OREGON FREAKING STATE! How bad do things have to be down there for that to happen. Cav also explained that he felt( as many others have speculated) that Kiffen was on a very hot seat and that the likely hood that he would be returning after the season was low.
As usual great info from MVB...
Enjoy Life, it has an expiration date.
