Of course he is, but I don't think he even entertains the idea as he's inline to take over Oregon when Chip leaves.
Cal = dumpster fire
Oregon = Probably better than any NFL team and best team in the galaxy.
Its a simple decision.
Follow me because I may just win the internet one day.
As long as he knows chip stays Helf should stay. But the Cal folks told me they were looking at Helf but also at the 49er OC who they say want to stay in the Bay Area and step down to the College ranks. You would think after Tedford they would stay away from an Oregon OC.
Enjoy Life, it has an expiration date.
Cal is currently making a very hard push for Chris Petersen. Petersen has said the two teams that would tempt him to leave Boise are Cal and Oregon.
Fides Quaerens Intellectum
I'm going with Kiffin.
FWIW Cal is about the same distance from Helfrich's home town as Eugene. A little further but not a lot. Still within driving distance.
I don't think he'll leave but just a little fact.
We know this is you Ron!
Why stay away from Oregon OCs? Tedford was the best coach in their history. He took a team that had won 3 games in the 3 years before he went there and won 7 in his first year. He went to 8 bowl games with is 3(?) more than they did in their history.
IMO Teddy was a Rich Brooks type. They need a Bellotti type to go 1 lvl up.
Find it hard to think Peterson would go to Cal when family life is #1 with him. Been to Bezerkley lately?
yeah, and it's a great place to live. one of the best in the world.
been to boise, ever?
Depends what you like. I for one, would never ever live in California. Boise has great fishing, hunting and lots of other outdoor activity and is just big enough to keep the wife happy with shopping. The Bay area is full of traffic, people and just a type of living I wouldn't want.
I can't wait till the kids are old enough to not need babysitting. I fully intend to move to the Bay Area.
Hey I live in Boise . Its actually a great city. Lots of outdoor stuff to do. Peterson hasn't left Boise due to family. He has a special needs child i'm pretty sure and likes the support here. I'm not saying he wouldn't go to Cal but highly doubt it, but Oregon would be an option as his kids get older.
Personally i lived in SoCal for 5 years and been the Bay area alot. Nice scenery in the Bay area but no thanks to cost of living, traffic, people. etc
