Just a little Pre-Game thoughts from me.
I'm basing this off my source being correct in that De'Anthony Thomas won't play. Oregon must get the run game going. That is the bread and butter to the rest IMO.
Limit Sankey. He'll get his, but keeping him from breaking off big runs is key. Which means I think Oregon will force Keith Price to beat them. They've contained Cam Newton and other elite QB's in the past, will look to do that with Price. Safeties can't get beat deep with the big play. D-Line must penetrate.
Washington can't trade FG's for TD's and give up dumb penalties. Circle that on the coaches board. This right here makes this game either close or not at all.
For Oregon, just have to do what you do on offense. Addison will need to step up, as will Marshall and Tyner. Give Mariota some time and let him lead the offense. Protect the ball, limit turnovers.
Personally I think Oregon's depth is going to be the key here. I think the game is close at half, barring injuries, Oregon separates in the 2nd half.

I agree turnovers are really important.....We will cash in on Washington turnovers which other teams have not.....last years lopsided score was caused by turnovers....also defensive depth will be a big factor that the ducks have an advantage over the dawgs...
Those are good keys. Turnovers, special teams, and establishing the run are always key.
I'm really looking for the defense to make a statement in this game. They've played really well, other than a quarter against Colorado, but haven't received much recognition nationally. If the Duck defense can bottle up the super power known as the Washington offense, people will finally realize how special this group is.

I think the biggest key is being more physical than uw on both lines. I think we should have advantages there but it has to play out that way on the field.
Oregon just needs to play well. We are the more talented, deeper team with superior coaching and schemes. For this game to be close, we need to lay an egg. If the team comes out focused and plays to their ability, the game is in hand early in the 3rd quarter.
All good points. Ducks just need to come out with energy snd stay focused. We have to many explosive playmakers across the board. We have this controlled in the second qtr. somewhere. Imo
