Ohio State fan here.. i asked in another thread who your head coach would be if Kelly actually did leave.. or what your opinions were.. someone told me your offensive coordinator or someone would step in.. is this true? Big time programs need big time coaches.. and our experiment with an assistant coach didn't work so well.. 6-6 as opposed to a real coach this year and 12-0.. won't Oregon look for a proven coach?
Really? Was Tressel a big time coach before coming to aOSU? 1-AA coaches aren't usually considered big time.

It worked pretty well the last time Oregon promoted their OC to head coach. 4 straight BCS games.
Sure did. Mike Bellotti worked out pretty well also.
he was more of a big time coach than Luke Fickell was yes.. he was proven.. won national championships at youngstown state like 3 times.. that's proven..
alright my bad for coming over here asking you guys a question.. i was just wandering..
The only reason the suckeyes hired Luke Fickell is because of the embarrassment that was your proven coach getting fired. Fickell was a lame duck coach for a year while they waited gor Meyer... Comparing Helfrich to Luke Fickell is beyond rediculous.
i don't know anything about your coordinators.. i don't follow the ducks and who their coaches are.. i just know Kelly did big things with you guys.. didn't come in here looking for a fight... just asking questions.. you can unbunch your panties now.. i'll be gone.. cya guys.. good luck with everything..
Kelly is still meeting with Eagles brass according to the Browns beat writer from the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Still plans on meeting with Cleveland later tonight.

Here's the very latest:
The Browns are not yet meeting with Oregon's Chip Kelly, because he was still with the Eagles in Arizona as of about 9:15 p.m. eastern standard time.
And here's but another twist in the saga...
Browns faced with a difficult decision right now according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Wish it was over already. Between waiting for the seahawks game tomorrow and waiting on the chip kelly watch this has been the longest week ever.
Will be easier for me to cheer for the Eagles who used to be my favorite NFL team back in the Randall Cunningham days, than the Browns. Since I have no favorite NFL team, in a way I am looking forward to seeing him go to the NFL so I can have a pro team and a college team. The Eagles would be much preferred to me, but I can see where Cleveland's young roster would have some appeal. Oh and Shady McCoy might run for 2500 yards if Chip gets a credible QB.

If they are already talking number of years, it is Eagles all the way. This is a done deal!
Sly fox, meeting with the Eagles second; he can walk out and be in front of Cleveland brass in a hour...such a bad ass!

Chip Kelly and the Eagles "lunch meeting" has now ended.
More discussions to be had between Philly and Kelly.
My brother read something earlier that was tweeted saying a very good source told them that they felt 100% positive that Chip would sign with Philly.
It's all heresy and speculation at this point though.
Philly reportedly still pursuing other coaches. Is the plot thickening?
RoobCSN: OK, now THIS is interesting. I'm told by league source Eagles still planning to meet tomorrow with McCoy and Marrone. So there's that.
getting annoying lol...get your offers & make up your mind, Chip!
Could it be that Chip is taking these long meetings to interview the teams (more so then them interviewing him) and seeing if he has everything in place to succeed. When its not there (Clevland/Philly/Bills) Chip is moving on to the next team and crossing them off. After Chip gets every fact he can get he will then go back to Oregon if everything isn't perfect. I am sure to be wrong but I am getting a growing hope that Oregon is where Chip will coach next season.
After their nine hour meeting, no deal has been reached between Kelly and Philadelphia.
The Eagles lunch time interview with Oregon head coach Chip Kelly turned into a nine-hour, marathon meeting that went well into the night on Saturday. Kelly, who was supposed to have dinner with Joe Banner and the Cleveland Browns, instead spent that time discussing with the Eagles the possibility of becoming their next head coach.
