I know it is sick but... Dontre come to the offense that will make you Lamike or DAT like.
What a cluster F of facts.
Is this all there is to the story?
Not to downplay it, but there isn't much here and I wouldn't be so quick to pass judgement.
If I forgot to thank you in my post, my apologies and thanks in advance for your understanding.
Honestly it sounds like college freshman and a girl who got pissed that someone changed their mind. You don't get raped, leave and then come back.
And the Urb legend continues on.........
That's basically what I was getting at, but I guess either way we should wait for due process... I am intrigued by the constant vitriol the DT board has for Urban Meyer, the guy could cure cancer and we'd still like to beat him with Charlie Day's rat club.

People love to hate on winners. I'm not saying he is perfect by any means, just speaking in general terms.
Seriously? How about the fact that Florida had a rap sheet longer than anything we've seen in CFB history under Meyer, while he turns around and cloaks himself in the self righteous shield of a supposedly Christian man of the highest caliber. He's a fake, a hypocrite, a two faced win at all costs dictator who only TALKS about doing things the right way. He'll charm the pants off a family with his morals and values, and then turn around and run as dirty a program as you will ever see.

Obviously swiping recruits from us, and just in general being a bit of a smarmy character doesn't help his cause over here... But there's some truth to the winning aspect as well. HATE HATE HATE!!
Whatever you want to bring your pitch forks out for guy, I've got no issues with it just interesting the wrath that Urban gets when there's a plethora of dirt bags out there to hate on.
Seems like you're ignorant of his history and only care to play devil's advocate.
Meyer is a flaming sack of dog crap. I wish him nothing but the worse.
It's just funny to me that people look at urban that way. Have guys been arrested on his watch down in Gainesville? Of course, but if you break down the numbers it equates to less than 5% of his players which I think is common for any D1 school. And the numbers also show that this number is lower than the number of people committing crimes in general society. I think people tend to forget all the player problems that went on under Coach Bellotti. Guys were accused of rape, theft, assault and a litany of other charges when Coach Bellotti was in charge. And I highly doubt hat anyone on here is going to accuse Mike of being a flaming sack of dog sh!t. People get arrested at every school for a variety of reasons, the only difference being that since Urban won a couple championships there it's a much bigger story than when a QB from Montana gets accused of rape. Look at all the kids who got arrested and charged with sexual misconduct at Montana when Coach Pflu was there and I don't see any of you insulting him on here. Does Coach Meyer roll the dice on really talented players from time to time? You bet, but he is HARDLY alone in this.
The problem with Meyer is he creates an environment where the inmates run the asylum. Where there is zero accountability among his players and no disciplinary action, including coverups wherever possible.
Teams where the "inmates run the asylum" don't win championships. I think people are just hating on Urban because he was able to talk Dontre into going to tOSU(which means he was just doing his job) and because he's a threat to Oregon winning a championship and nothing more. IMO, this is the same exact things that UW fans said about Chip, when none of it was true. They claimed these "facts" and "truths" solely because Oregon had beaten UW's a$$ for a decade
lol, you are out of your mind. You seriously believe 30 arrests and numerous other "incidents" in a 5 year period is NORMAL? How can you type that with a straight face. Bellotti didn't have half that number of of players arrested in double the time frame. You are making shit up. In fact, if you are going to invent comparisons, please go ahead and provide factual evidence that Bellotti had anywhere remotely near the number of problems. Oh but you won't because you can't. Which players were arrested under Bellotti, period. Bring it, or GTFO with that garbage.
Oh, and for the record, this "rape" case sounds like a bunch of bullcrap.
Classy post there. Just because guys didn't get arrested doesn't mean that they weren't out committing crimes, including a group of guys being accused of rape around 2000-2001. Urban was the coach there for 5 years and there was 30 arrests, which averages out to 5 guys getting in trouble a year. 5 players on a 105 team roster is less than 5% of a teams players. Last time I checked the stats, 7.5% of average citizens commit crimes, so the numbers in society are higher. Just because guys didn't get arrested doesn't mean that they weren't out doing dirt. The Bellotti teams had some very questionable guys on there, I know this for a fact. The only difference between Urb's teams and Bellotti's teams were less guys got caught. I'm not gonna come on here and name names but anyone who was around those teams know what I'm talking about. I know I'm right on this, I wouldn't post it if it wasn't true. There were guys on those teams who I would never let into my home and I wasn't the only one. My point is that IMO when less than 5% of your student athletes are getting in trouble that's pretty normal and less than the number for the rest of society. Does it look bad? Of course it does but when you're dealing with 105-120 18-22 yr olds, I think 5% of guys being trouble makers is expected and normal, especially when you look a the numbers for the rest of society.
lol, now you're back tracking with even more excuse making. You said Bellotti had a LITANY of problems but you can't list a single name or incident? You're the same guy who called the UW rumors OP out for not posting his sources, and you're gonna fall back on this? "oh I can't name names but trust me I'm right".
Like I said, you can't even name a single arrest under Bellotti. Bongterrio? Who else makes up that LITANY? But again, you won't back up your ridiculous claim because you CANT. Eddie Pleasant got a reckless driving ticket I think?
Chip Kelly had the Blount meltdown, Garrett Embry, Rob Beard, LMJ, Masoli and Cliff Harris, Kiko x2. That's 8 in 4 years and by far the worst stretch of off the field issues in at least 30 years. Meyer had 31 in 5 years. But yeah, that's NORMAL and totally comparable to Oregon. Again, how many players were arrested from 1995-2008. Answer the question.
"The only difference between Urb's teams and Bellotti's teams were less guys got caught."
Wow, just wow.
Dude, I think you need to just calm down a bit. I believe what MBV is getting across is that these incidents are noticed more because of the "fish bowl" effect. They attend Florida or tOSU under a renowned CFB coach and therefore they will stand out more. I'm actually in the camp that you're in, that 30 arrests(not even incidents) is far from stellar. Hell, lets be honest, that sounds like a rehab center more than a football team, but I think you could show a little more class while arguing. It's not very constructive to go after a guy simply because he has a different opinion. I just hope, for everyone's sake, that this rape case is a sham and these young men are smarter than what they've been accused of. I guess we'll see.
Funny how he brings up class while dismissing 31 arrests in 5 years as par for the course. Don't let facts get in anyone's way of forming an opinion, just make shit up!
Meyer should be held accountable for these rapes as if it was him who did the raping. Just saying....
He could be Sandusky's cellmate.
