I absolutely hate this. All it's going to do is take the game further away from the fans that actually care about it. I'm really hoping college sports doesn't lose it's accessibility for the average fan like pro sports has. This is a step in that direction. College athletics weren't meant to be global.
It happens before the actual season... Duke did this last August, they played in China and Dubai. It's a smart move to gain global exposure. It's about the players too, think of how fun it would be to travel internationally and play basketball at the same time.
