This is a tough year to forsee who will crack the two deep especially on the OL, S and LB. Here's my guess:
QB-Mariota, Rodrigues Y
LG-Andre Y, Stevens
C -Grassu, Armstrong
ClB-Ekpre Olomo, Hill
It's a tough call. Our big ugs is a ? except for the big three. The two guard spots are up for grabs imo. Let the best man win. Same goes for one of the LB spots. Lokombo and Coleman are definitely starters, but where will Coleman play? I think he sticks with Will, but then who steps up to Mike?
My guess is Cassel backed by Walker and I wouldn't be shocked to see Walker be the starter at the end of the season. I think Robinson will back up Lokombo, but Prevot could as well until he puts on the weight to step up to the drop end. Who knows? Alot of questions on our D. Fortunately our DL and secondary are locked loaded. Give me your preducktions.

Could be interesting to see if they move Coleman to Will from the backup Sam spot. I think he's clearly one of the top three returning backers so we'll see. I think Cassell can play and Hardrick could be in the mix too. Hopefully Walker can make an impact too. The Mike spot is obviously a big question mark. Has anyone heard how Bafaro is coming along?
At receiver, most everyone is back and I'm excited to see if Allen can make an impact, and I hope they get Addison involved a little more.
You forgot Dargan, by the way. This is great though.
That's a very good list... So you don't think either of the two freshman WR's in this class will make an impact.....?
What about Jackson Rice?
They might get PT, but I'm not sure if they'll necessarily make an impact. There's alot if depth with experience ahead of them. I think Allen will probably rs and Carrington very well could too. We shall see.
Oops, forgot Dargan. You're right. I switched it up and threw him in there instead of Robinson.
What year is Rice? For some reason I thougt he was gone after last year.
TE-Lyerla, Brown/Koi Kai
WR-Huff, Addison, Allen
WR-Hawkins, Stanford, Kelly
LT-Johnstone, Euscher/Andre Y
LG-Stevens, Euscher/Andre Y
C -Grassu, Armstrong
CB-Ekpre Olomo, Hill
I think the majority of our incoming class sits, but tyner is the starter from NSU on and I thought about putting in mattingly from his highlights on the release from the ducks but Im not positive he plays this year but if Garrick is back plus Hardrick, Cassel, Walker, Colemon, and Malone was lights out at the end of last year. The robinson twins are athletically gifted enough to play but they are both a little raw in football and the LB needs a year to add weight.

With the logjam at the TE spot, I'm wondering if one of them can make an immediate impact at linebacker.
And as for the linebacker position goes, Lokombo is really the only know commodity (though Coleman looked good). It's going to be interesting to see how guys like Tyson Coleman (R-So), Rodney Hardrick (Jr), Joe Walker (So*), Brett Bafaro (R-Fr), Rahim Cassell (R-So), Derrick Malone (Jr), and Carlyle Garrick (R-So) grow and develop over the off-season.
Tyson Coleman is a perfect example, as he sort of disappeard from the radar during his RSing year, but then comes out as a R-Fr and looks and plays jacked. Will Carlyle get over the injury bug and be a contributor? How has Bafaro developed over the last year? How will Joe Walker handle the off-season with Rad?
*What year is Joe Walker? He grey-shirted, and then played one year at a JC, so he has four to play three. We could technically redshirt him if needed, but as far as years of eligibility is concerned, he is a sophomore, correct?
The future is looking Rosy
Prevot with be our best rusher from day 1, he at the very least is a 3rd down guy next year. Seeing how our D is pretty difficult to learn.
I've been impressed with Malone ever since the Rose Bowl, he's a head hunter.
I'm not gonna write a whole two deep but I will say I think Walker will become a force this season. Out of all our signees I'm most excited about him (with the exception of Tyner like everybody else). He'll be starting by the time conference starts, just a gut feeling. The most recent report was that he was already on campus obviously but also in extremely good shape which should serve him well. Walker being here for spring camp only strengthens this gut feeling.
Plus, there's something about his hair that screams "wreckless" to me and I think he'll take out people while still being under control. None of that Burfict type craziness.
I Believe Koa Ka'ai and TJ Daniel will be put on defense..... That's more of their future.... and Giving us more guys on the line....
RT: Fisher/Benyard III
WLB: Malone Jr./Cassell
K: Lord Wogan
*I think Ebert plays heavily as well
Good call on Euscher. Forgot about him. I could see him cracking the two deep as well. I may have to adjust.
Agree about Ebert. If he's healthy he'll be in the rotation for sure. I think Hart, Washington, Arik and Buckner all have big years as well. Have you heard anything on Eberts health? Also, I see that you had Dargan over Patterson. That's an interesting prediction. Do you feel Dargan will beat Avery out? Patterson was killing it before his injury. Do you think his injury might slow him down? Also, you have Carrieger in the two deep. I think alot of people in here will agree with you, but I'm still holding on to hope that French steps up. I could also see Daniels switching to D and seeing some time at the drop end.

KOD, Malone at second string? Really? He'll start at Mike for sure.
He'll have to put on some weight and muscle mass before he sees the field. I could see Prevot getting PT in the end of the season after he's added mass and learned the system more.
no thoughts on carriger or bair? from what ive been hearing bair could break into 2 deep next year. Also look for the amoako twins to play next year too. hearing there development is leaps and bounds.
Idk about Malone starting at Mike. Usually a 6'2", 220 lbser isn't ideal size for an middle LB. I honestly think Walker will be the starter by the end of the season, but he'll have to learn the system before he does. He's physically ready to rock at 6'3", 240 lbs and apparently he's in great shape. If he turns out to be a quick learner he could start from the jump. I'm drawing a blank about Malone. When he played last year was it at Mike? I'd personally love to see Bayliss switch to D and play Mike.
Yep, Walker is a sophomore.
Malone Jr. has always been a Will. He's a converted safety so that makes sense. The WLB is the lightest of all the LB's and usually has the best cover skills and ability to chase the ball down.
Hence, Malone Jr. and Cassell. Saying that the WLB and MLB positions are both "inside" doesn't mean they're that similar.
That's what I thought, but my memory was foggy. I just didn't/don't see Malone as a starting MLB. I'm sticking with him backing up Coleman. I thought Coleman played well last year and he was called upon alot. I think he was the most played LB behind the big three.
