I'm no Laker fan, but I am down with a Black Mamba & Shaq reunion at Oregon running the option.
Goal lines and short yardage situations it might be cool. Run some of the old QB power plays that Florida ran with Tebow. I personally dont really like the wildcat though as it pretty much tells the defense what you're going to do.
lmfao @ Oregon running the wildcat. We specifically recruit athletic QBs to be a running threat and throwing threat, thus being superior to the wildcat. We don't need a wildcat package at the goal line, we need a dual threat QB. Running wildcat would LIMIT Oregon's offense, not enhance it. Wildcat is for teams that need to manufacture the semblance of a running game or for a HS team to get the ball in the hands of their only athlete every play. There's a reason Nebraska is mired in mediocrity with Taylor Martinez and it's because they're basically running the wildcat.
Remember Chris Harper? lol

For whatever it's worth, Shaq's *projected* position on offense would either be RB or WR...
No inside knowledge here, but I would imagine Chip is envisioning a scenario where Shaq lines up at wildDuck QB and Bennett out wide for one play, then, to maintain the hurry-up/blur offense, they could effectively switch (Shaq to Rb/Slot/WR, Bennett back behind C) to run our normal offense...
With both guys' athleticism we could create some SERIOUS mismatches there...
