Yes I agree totally on Track speed and Football speed, DAT is one of the fastest Player's in all of the country in Football. Maybe they should put a Football in his Hand's when he runs Track.

I think being in the Heismen conversation as a freshmen and sophomore already has his stock skyrocketing. A good combine will just be the cherry. I think he has his best season yet next season. There's no more Barner or LMJ. He's the man now and he'll live up to that title. More so then he already has. If we see Ta on go in the 1st red I think it's safe to assume DAT will go on the first day of the draft. I think DAT will probably run a 40 time very close to Tavons. 4.34 sounds about right give or take a couple hundredths. He'll definitely run a sub 4.4.

After watching DAT run the 100 in high school and college again he is going to destroy the 40 at the combine. He really struggled in the latter half of the those races but destroyed in the initial 40 yrds which is all scouts will care about. There is a reason they don't run the hundred in the combine. Getting to top speed after 60 meters is almost useless in football. No QB is ever going to throw it that far and if you run a great 40 you are unlikely to ever be caught from behind by a 5'11 safety or corner. DAT's explosion and acceleration to be able to get initial separation is what the scouts will drool over.

It would have been great to see DAT, Tyner, Delaney and either Kelly or Mathis run the relay together unfortunately i think DAT is gone after this year.

A little Oregon Track History....

Oregon has had two sprinters win medals in the Olympic Games. Harry Jerome won a Bronze in the 100m and Mack Robinson won a siver (behind Jesse Owens) in the 200m.

Harry Jerome holds the Oregon 100 yard record in 9.2. Don Coleman holds the 100m in 10.11.
Coleman and Patrick Johnson are tied for the 200m record in 20.39! Harry Jerome and Albert Hearvey are tied in the 220 yard dash in 20.7.

Sammy Parker has a faster PR in the 100m than Patrick Johnson, but Patrick Johnson has a faster 200m time. Johnson was probably the better all around sprinter. They were both fabulous track athletes.

Currently DAT is looking like the second fastest sprinter on the team...with a slight edge over Joel Hotchkins whose PR in the 100 of 10.15 was wind aided and is adjusted to 10.33. Arthur Delaney ran an impressive 10.24 at the Pac 12 Championships (that is his best ever)

DeAnthony is showing improvement and who knows what his potential may be! With the Addition of Tyner, and a returning Delaney and DAT, next year's men's short relay team could be something to behold! Go Track Ducks!
