Darren Carrington is visiting ASU

Per his twitter that's where he's headed. Not sure if that cancels his tOSU visit or not. I know they were pretty full, particularly at WR.

At this point it seems like he just wanted to get more out of the recruiting experience, get a couple trips, have some fun, get pursued by the big boys. Can't say I blame him.

I want him with the Ducks, but at this point if he is the only casualty from the Gang of 13, so be it. Dontre and the Robinson twins are more important.

Carrington better hurry up IMO. Would love to have him but with Allen in now....Didn't Darren say in an article a while back that UO was his "dream school?"

Hurry up with what? He is committed to Oregon still. He can't sign till February. What are you wanting him to hurry up with?

Hurry up and decide that he truly want's to be a Duck. To me, "Soft Verbal" and looking around isn't a solid commitment.

As a Duck fan you want Darren Carrington. He is a great possession receiver. He has the height and courage to take a hit and hold on to the ball. He has great hands and feet. He can tightrope the sideline and make the catch better than anyone in high school. Plus, he is a quality kid. Marcus will love him.

I am a Duck fan and would love to have him. But maybe Helfrich handles these things differently. C'mon Darren, go with that gut feeling.

It would be nice to keep DC, but if he decides to go elsewhere it won't be an issue. Our cupboard is full with top quality WR at the moment. Plus we have Allen coming in. This isn't a position of need at the moment.

I think he's a Duck. Plus, didn't he also tweet awhile back that he and the twins would wind up at the same school? Smells like a Duck to me and Lubics hire has to be an additional incentive for him.

Plus the news of Allen should be viewed by DC as good for him. Allen stretches the field with his speed and opens up stuff for Darren. They also benefit from a terrific new WR coach and one of the best young QBs to get them the rock. MM is way better, esp in terms of passing, than Miller at OSU and Kelly at ASU.

Agreed duck81. During the Semper Fi game, Allen & DC were on the field a lot at the same time with just what you said occurring. Allen drew the took some defenders deep opening up the underneath routes for DC. Combined for 10 catches or so. Would be fun to watch them both do the same in Eugene.
