Ugh, I despise Dabo Swinney and Clemson so much.. Dabo is such a hillbilly he makes Mike Riley seem like Sophocles or Aristotle. Dabo Swinney is like straight out of central casting from Forrest Gump the movie. But have you guys ever seen an interview of Sammy Watkins? Wow. Seriously, that kid is impressive. I'm happy he's doing well and having a lot of success out there. He is an absolute animal on the field. I agree with putting him as the #1 true freshman in the country.

I'm surprised Marqise Lee is not on Todd McShay's list, though. I would put De'Anthony at #2and Marqise Lee at #3.

For what it's worth NFL Draft Scout just pushed De'Anthony up to #2 overall running back in the 2015 class. He started off the season behind Florida State's James "Overrated" Wilder Jr, and Malcolm "Obligatory UT Five-star" Brown from Texas.

My list would look like this:
    1. Sammy Watkins, Clemson
    2. De'Anthony Thomas, Oregon
    3. Marqise Lee, USC
    4. Jadeveon Clowney, South Carolina
    5. Anthony Johnson, LSU

Like anyone cares what my list would look like. fail

  • Won't argue Watkins being no. 1, but IMO, De'Anthony should be second on that list just for his sheer playmaking ability. Clowney and Lynch are great players with bright futures, but did they don't pose the same individual threat as DAT. Dude had the opportunity to score literally every time he touched the ball...Crowell being on that list, period, is bogus considering how much his productivity dwindled toward the end of the season.

the list is top 25 but im not an insider but i know their where 5 Quack 12 guys on the list just behind the SEC at eight

i think Lee should be in the top 5 tho, but Sammy looks like he could have went strait to the NFL imo

But I CARE!!! Haha. Like the list. I personally am fine with Clowney being ahead of DAT and if someone wanted to put Lee ahead of DAT then I'd be fine with that as well. I personally would put DAT ahead of both but I can understand the arguments for the others. Pretty awesome though for DAT and Lee; both literally landed on the perfect teams that can take advantage of their skill sets. DAT and CK are such a great combo. Honestly, they must almost chuckle each time they see each other with how lucky they are to have each other.

  • Lee was at number 6, not a fan of posting full insider info but if you're curious to anyone I guess I can relay the info... Wish it actually was ranking based on pro potential, I'm curious to "scouts" take on DAT moving forward into the pros. Anthony Johnson was all the way down at 14 but I agree, he should be a lot higher. I'm trying to figure out who really had a better season between Watkins, DAT and Lee; honestly I think DAT in next year's offense puts up some truly historic numbers if he stays healthy (2500 all purpose? 25 TD's?).

    Watkins Key stats: 77 rec | 1,153 yds | 11 TDs | 15.0 avg
    DAT 1900 All purpose 16 TD's
    Lee Key stats: 73 rec | 1,143 yds | 15.7 ypc | 12 total TDs

  • DaT is #1 in my book.

USC is like a german car, every piece that breaks is of the highest quality.

    AvroDuck

  • Imagine what DAT could have done if he got more than 4 or 5 touches a game!

    jpsmith00

  • DAT is by far the most exciting to watch, and most likely to win the Heisman!

    brownvsop

  • If he can put on enough weight and strength to be able to avoid the fumbles and get more touches. De'Anthony has no problem being physical in mentality, his physical body needs to be able to match that. James is a guy whose body has taken a beating from playing the way he does over the last 3 years, but has been able to avoid serious injury, except in the case of the freak accident which injured his elbow.
