Ducks Win Despite Rash of Injuries

Despite a rash of injuries so bad the Ducks were playing as many as six freshmen at a time on defense the Ducks improved to 10-0 after beating Cal Saturday.

  • Man oh Man, what a good Team, and the depth is so impressive, and the way Chip does everything, the guy has GENIOUS written all over him! With that said I'd still like a healthy Remmington. Heimuli, Jordan, and of coarse Taylor back against Stanford.

  • If you sit back and think of the injuries we have had this year, it is truly a testament to our coaching staff and players that we are still undefeated.....

Carson York (Best Offensive Lineman) Season vs Fresno State
John Boyett (Best DB/Safety) Season vs Arkansas State
Jared Ebert (Expected to be major player on D Line) Season vs Arkansas State
Mana Grieg (Solid O Line Back Up and even Started 2 Games) Season vs Colorado
Wade Keliikipi (Starting NG) Season @ USC
Avery Patterson (Starting S) Season @ CAL

in addition to that the folllowing starters have all missed games due to injury or suspension this season:
Josh Huff (WR), Colt Lyerla (TE), Tyler Johnstone (OL), Nick Cody (OL), Dion Jordan (DLine), Isaac Remington (DLine), Micheal Clay (LB), Kiko Alonso (LB) and back up Ricky Hiemuli (DLine)

    You're so very right.

When you look at the cumulative total of key players both out for the season and those missing some games, it's hard not to be impressed with the job the coaches have done. I only hope we can be as healthy as can be expected for the home stretch.

    Go Ducks!
