People act like this is new. SC has been getting top classes forever. Oregon has consistently won with 3* kids.

In the end, the difference between a 5* and 4* recruit really isn't that large. Sit back and continue to watch Chip hang 50 on that vaunted SC defense.

Sorry, a bit of gallows humor. All you can do is laugh and in the end remember that its just sports... entertainment. It sure does feel like the rest of the pac 12 is just fighting over USC's leftovers this year. Although we've already gotten a few choice steaks of our own!

Obviously I don't know what's really going on behind the scenes, but there seems to be a consistent theme from recruits when they're interviewed about how hands off we are. Recruiting is about establishing and fostering relationships with these kids, something Tosh is world class at doing.

We don't need to ass kiss and promise the world, but consistent contact with these kids is required. Aside from Cam, I haven't heard many recruits talk about the great relationships they've built with our assistants. The laid back soft sell works for some recruits, but to many it just comes across as us not really being interested. I can't help but think we're making mistakes (as we sit with the number 53 recruiting class).

I'm a pretty positive guy, but I'm struggling to stay positive.

I'm going to bed, but I hope all of you that are whining right now about how dreaded this situation is and how the sky is falling are still around in February when we sign a top 20 class and everyone is hailing Chip so I can laugh at how big of hypocrites you are.

Upset? Cool. Sky is falling, what the hell are our coaches doing, this staff is useless when it comes to recruiting, slobbering over SC? I can do without. I think Chip has earned the fans trust by now.
