Lol at the two downvotes, some of you guys can't handle some 'bad news' these days.

calling your boy out for $25 after he tells you not to contact PSAs... and you're bitching about down votes... seriously?

leave it to the people who don't sweat pocket change to reach out to these kids... people will obviously do whatever they want to do but I can't see see how it helps Oregon football.

What I meant to say is...Fitts is an Oregon silent commit. ;)

That's more like it. Next time though, don't make us ask you for it or it doesn't seem sincere. We need the genuine optimism.

    cool

All I can say is this is pure comedy to me now. Reality is we pretty much have our class sealed up. We're not getting any more commits from kids who are going to blow our minds.

Honestly, expect Cunningham, Powell, Hunt, Smythe, Porter, Falah, etc, etc to all go elsewhere and not even visit. Best to just focus on out current commits and move on to next season. This class is done for the exception of some fillers. Is this really a surprise? Oregdon was in his living room yesterday whispering sweet nothings into Fitt's ear. Telling him how Oregons D scheme does not fit him, just like Vanderdoes was told and these kids believe him.

Most likely he's going to SC and they don't even have a DC so Fitts has no idea what scheme they'll run. I can't but laugh every time I see a new thread about a PSA because it's almost guaranteed it's going to be bad news. Moved on to next year.

I don't understand how coaches are able to convince these kids that Oregon doesn't have a scheme on defense to get them to the NFL. It's like they don't even realize how many NFL teams run a 3-4 defense. Lol

Wow haha. I've tried other forms of contacting ''my boy" and none worked. It's not that I'm "sweating pocket change" but more the fact we all agreed for a certain fee and it wasn't paid.

Plus the downvotes had came before I brought up the $25.

    BINGO !!

Oregeron is a snake as far i'm concerned. Been following his Negative recruiting since his early Petey days.

Isn't it funny how after Vanderdoes committed to USC he almost said the same thing about Oregon... Verbatim !!

Exactly. The crazy part is that its not even true. Even if Oregon has some 2 gap concepts in its defense, almost every other good defense does as well. Oregon's defense runs different schemes almost every other play. There are plenty of opportunities for linemen to attack. But if linemen attacked a single gap every play every spread team would chew them up the way they have done to usc ever since Petey got there. The big defensive plays are more than nullified by the huge offensive plays created by the lack of gap integrity. Remember Vince Young vs. usc? They have not effectively stopped a spread team since.

To be a good defense in college now days you have to mix it up and try to keep the offense guessing. And whether you are playing a 2 gap or a one gap system, it comes down to being able to shed blockers and make plays.

Exactly. Kids will believe what they want to believe if the right person sells it to them. Not only does at least half the NFL run a base 3-4, every team has 3-4 packages. If you can play then you will get to the league. And not only that, hasn't anyone watched stanford's D, or alabama's? What base scheme do they run? Yep, 3-4 with 2 gap principles to occupy blockers. I'm pretty sure that has not stopped Alabama from sending D-Linemen to the NFL. And when I watched stanford last year I saw Gardner getting plenty of opportunities to attack from his D-end spot.

Like I said, kids will believe what they want. Hopefully Oregon's staff will get an opportunity to put something in his ear as well.
