Let me get this straight: the average gpa is 2.94...or about a C, or about average. Go figure.
And one more thing. They are comparing grades to say 2006 when Oregon had a worse record in football. Who's to say that a winning football team hasn't attracted a high quality student over the past year who has raised the bar for some of the older students, lowering the overall average? Or that UO hasn't made made a concerted effort to lower grade inflation since then? Or who knows what else? Correlation does not equal causation, my friends.
