Over on the usc sight,, it seems 90percent of the posters on there are starting to put the hot seat on Lane Kiffin, they arent very happy with him at all, especially after not scoring any points in the second half agains Minnesota, and only playing 43 kids. I dont see how any family can be so high on USC especially with Kiffin being the head coach. i get the whole tradition thing bla bla bla, but that program is gonna be down, and for longer then i bet people expect!

My hope is that Zach Banner, Josh Garnett and Jordan Simmons all come to Oregon together as they are all friends. Well Zach and Josh are close and they do know Jordan. I think they all look a little alike and I told Zach's father (who is the principal of his high school-Lakes) that if all three commit to the Ducks I have a nickname for them. "Duck brothers with different mothers." Obviously Ron Banner thought that was funny because he laughed.

I also asked Zach how he would like to block for De'Anthony Thomas? I've not seen a bigger smile on anyone for quite a while. Zach also told me that he considered my wife and me a part of their family (which made us feel really good).

I have a good feeling that the Ducks are going to get three very good offensive linemen who will anchor the O-Line for many years. I also think, knowing they all will be playing in an expanded Pac-12/16 Conference won't hurt their decisions either.

BTW, Lakes has a kicker who could play football at Oregon's level too. His name is Bo Wittig. I've not heard that much compression on kicks for some time and he also had several kickoffs deep into the endzone. I also think Jimmy Radcliff has been helping Lakes because even the players on the sidelines looked chiseled. lol

I am hopeful. I would really like for the Ducks to hit a real elite class one or two times. Since 09 my target for the best duck team to date was 2012. Still looks that way but to compete with the big guys, we need to recruit at a higher level and not in the 12-25 range.

It is a long ways to Feb and the Ducks have a history of slow starts and fast finishes. The habit of not accepting commits until a visit messes with the numbers too (IMO).
