with all the complaining about missing on the OL recruits, we just landed one of the deepest and most talented DL classes I can remember.
Armstead, Buckner and Balducci were elite.
Daniel and Carriger are raw athletes ready to molded.
Bair is a legacy.
We had a major haul on OL last year people. We do great with JUCO olinemen. We can fill the gap if there is any.

So, you guys don't think the fans should be able to critique the class? You don't think people can be pleased but also see that it's not perfect?
Come on.
I will never understand people who refuse to question their leaders.
As for me, I am very happy with this class and excited to see what these kids bring to the field in the springtime.

Why cant people see that the Ducks have a plan in recruiting?
When you sign 5+ recruits (counting Stevens) in the previous year, and only lose 2 scholarship players, it makes no logical sense to sign another 4 to 5 recruits to the same position in the same year.
So what did the Ducks do? They attempted to reach out to 5* kids and ending striking out. Guess what? So did every other position group aside from DLine (Armstead). They werent looking to sign a huge class just 2, maybe 3 guys. They were very selective in who they recruited.
They only reason the Ducks have loaded up on WR in the last 2 years is because of huge attrition rate and overall lack of talent.
Im not saying dont be critical, just be informed.
And dont be surprised when next years DLine group isnt very large.

Frankly, I would love to see a pick up game of basketball with the guys from the incoming FB class and the basketball team. There is some talent there. I think we will see that strength, conditioning, and technique work will make these guys outstanding on either the OL or DL. Make Addison the point guard.
All kidding aside, do you think some OL kids don't want to work as hard as our guys do? It is challenging playing for Chip.

I don't think you understand...
21 commits is terrific and all but this is CLEARLY not a day to celebrate!
It's very obvious for those of us who can see through the UO Athletic Dept. *SPIN*, that once great recruiter Steve Greatwood has caught Coach Azzinaro's inability to recruit. CLEARLY this is spreading and it's only a matter of time until the whole staff is infected with the virus. Then we're doomed.
After that? Who knows. Could spread to the Basketball team... Track... Not even Nike is safe!!!
Don't you understand bisonducks! SOMETHING MUST BE DONE!!!

There are 2 sides to this. #1 the sky is not falling and yes, we had a great OL class last year.
However it is a fact that Oregon offered close to 2 dozen OL and came away with 1 player who can play 1 year. It's obvious it was a position at which the coaches wanted to bring in some more talent and they were in large part unable to do that. Saying that last year's OL class was big and good is valid, but the coaches obviously disagree that it was enough(obviously it's never enough in this game) because they handed out 20++ offers to OL this year. There's nothing wrong with pointing that out, and saying that this isn't a bit of a disappointment is spin.
Now back to #1, while it's valid to "complain" about missing out on some OL this year, it certainly doesn't make this class any less awesome. This program is absolutely LOADED with talent on both sides of the ball.
