Funny how it goes from 2nd degree battery potential charges to now they weren't even involved and the media blew it out of proportion....what a joke!!! I don't care who plays....but somebody bought someone off here if this is true!!! If a marine was kicked in the head as supposedly reported...whomever did that should be kicked off the team and thrown in jail...period!

Wow. Overreact much? The FACT of the matter is that none of us know what happened. It's sad that after all we have been through as Duck fans the last 2.5 years that so many of us are willing to throw the book at a group of young men, literally without knowing that they were at the scene. You are insane if you think anyone was "paid off" especially in such a high profile situation.

Justin, on a side note I'm curious about the lawyer aspect of this situation. Has he been paid for respresentation or is he working pro-bono? Anyone has a right to pro-bono work, but it is my impression that this lawyer has done quite a bit of work for LSU players in the past. If he has a disproportionate amount of pro-bono work for LSU athletes isn't that an extra benefit? I'm not looking to stir up reasons to have these guys in trouble, I'm just curious and a little confused. Anything that is deemed "special treatment" due to being an athlete is an extra benefit right? Is there a responsibility of the NCAA to determine the motives of this lawyer and check his track record in regards to how he seems to represent so many LSU athletes?
