Who was Danny Mattingly primary recruiter? I really want to hear some news on this kid, I thought his commitment was huge. It would break my heart to see this kid leave.

The feeling has kind of been that he's itching to take a look around and really experience the recruiting process. I could see him really feeling the love from a school like Washington and giving strong consideration to flipping. Obviously though, until he gets something definitive set up, we can only speculate.

Chris why doesn't Oregon just name Helfrich the Head Coach now, because this guy has Talent to lead this beyond and one good thing about him is I don't believe this guy has an EGO problem, which I believe is good for our program and the forseable future, So why is Oregon waiting on a NO Brainer with cohesion in mind for the program.

State law indeed says that you have to interview minorities. But if you don't, there is no penalty. It is a symbolic piece of legislation, nothing more.
You do NOT have to interview a minority candidate in the state of Oregon if you don't choose to do so. The only negative would be a potential PR hit.
