Agreed on the not rotating. Chip has been quoted "if you have two quarterbacks you have none...". The one silver lining to the cupcake schedule this year, is that we will get to see both quarterbacks play pretty extensively in the first 3 games. Not as a rotation, but because the score is 35 - 7 at the half :)
BB starts (due to experience) and MM finishes.Duck Nasty

I think some are overstating Bennett's 'game experience' and his ability to show he can make tough plays in the crunch. Yes, he ran the ball very well against ASU, but I also remember him bouncing the ball into a receiver on a hook route. Yes he has a lightening arm and throws a very pretty ball, but the accuracy will determine how much the defense will cheat up into the box.
With that being said, I don't know if MM can pass the ball better. From Max' spring practice report, BB seemed to miss less throws than MM, but MM was still trying to grasp the offense as a true frosh. Will he be better this year? Absolutely. Hopefully so will Bennett.
We are going to be able to run the ball very effectively with either QB. The man who I want under center is the most consistent passer. Period. Thats what is going to take this offense to the next level....if there is such a thing.
I have no idea who that will be -- bring on the spring game.

Game reps are the big thing seperating the two candidates thus far, so yeah, it counts big time. Both guys' ability to throw in the clutch, with accuracy and with zip/touch on the ball will be the next great seperator. But as far right now goes, Bennett's game-time play is enough to put me squarely in his corner. 'Show and prove' will be the phrase of import all spring and summer long. Who can bring it, day in/day out? Who can show and prove they are our field general?

im not buying that when it comes to CK. DT beat out nate costa because of skill he didnt care about game experience. if he did he wouldnt have trusted DT to go to tennesee with 1 game under his belt. if mariota outplays bennett in practice and shows that he has a good head on his shoulders he will get the job. by the time they get to league play it would be 3 games of xp vs 4 and 1/2 which is nothing.

Mariota or Bennett?
