My world needs some consolidation, hahaha. Unreal!

I'm surprised 24/7 servers didn't have a nuclear meltdown last night. I had to ask my wife to take my phone and iPad away! Like a good wife, she slipped me a tylenol, which was actually a sleeping pill, and I passed out!! But then I woke up to a lovely text saying all the heart burn was for nothing!

Nothing like a coaching change, or rumored coaching change to get the masses going. LOL

Obviously not liking the fact that AA and Shaq had IHV with Kelly yesterday that were canceled. Please tell me that this has been rescheduled, and they aren't thinking, Now What?

All that for nothing. Well not really. I now have the dubious distinction of being quoted on the "fight on" board as "oregon fans having meltdown". Perhaps I shouldn't have threatened to throw myself into the ocean (I do live on an island). However, now that I wear the scarlet letter M (moron, meltdown, meat head, whaever) I'm glad things are getting sorted. I apologize for making all of us look bad, for giving trojan fans a brief moment of joyous rapture (may it be their last), and for considering myself so important that i needed to apologize. sorry.

Ok, now to the important stuff. Thanks J-hop, Matt, etc. Get some sleep, and lets hope the coaches WTD.

Some observations caused by trauma:
1) That old rock and roll song that starts out "I couldn't sleep at all last night" is appropriate for me and most of the board members, I'm sure.
2) Remember the look on LMJ's face on teh Disneyland ride? That was me last night.
3) This ultimately was the waste of a great headline (homage to old movie) "Goodbye Mr. Chip"
4) What runied my evening was not the loss of Chip-although that would be bad enough-but the timing. The recruiting class would have been shattered. Let's hope for a December exit if and when it comes.
5) Don't undersestimate all the factors in Chip's thinking-besides the ones already stated about wanting the ultimate challenge, e.g. The trashing of the U of O president had to bother him and add one more item to the "negative" pile of college coaching
6) Deja Vu: For a while there it looked like Nick Sabin leaving LSU for the NFL
7) Any AD worth his salt, and Rob should be the best, has his emergency roadside breakdown kit packed and ready and always with fresh material. He will have an updated short list of his candidates who he would want and who he understands would be interested. I would expect that right now he just got buried under a pile of "stuff" from coaches' agents all over the place.
8) Thanks to Justin and Matt for staying with us as we hurtled down the mountain. Does anybody have some Handy Wipes?

Recent Developments can be interpreted different ways be recruits. I'm confident Chip will put them in a favorable context.

6 of this: Chip almost left for NFL means he might leave for a better NFL offer

1/2 dozen of that: Chip not taking this $7 million dollar offer from NFL means he loves Ducks and isnt likely to leave any time soon

Reports are there is a team meeting for this morning at 8.... Can anyone confirm that?

I'm really interested to see how the next couple weeks play out. I think recruits and players are still in a state of shock (like most of us). It will also be interesting to see what happens with Chip in terms of contract, and public comments.
