Whitehead is a good one - he quietly put up a couple of great seasons and could run and catch.

For my money, Tony Graziani. Directed our first win in LA in decades against USC when O' Neil was hurt during the 94 rose Bowl run, and lead us to the Cotton Bowl the next year when other teams were gunning for us. For the little time he started, he was a winner!

How about AJ Feely or Kellen Clemons both had a good career at Oregon Feely got hurt then passed by harrington and Clemons was a stud before getting hurt and replaced by the Leaf/Dixon combo

Haha...oooooooooo thats funny. Not sure I can put Roper in the most under-appreciated list as he stepped in after Dixon went down and subsequently lost 4 straight games. I certainly didn't expect him to be the second coming of Dixon, but I sure didn't appreciate his play until the South Florida blow-out.

When it is all done and said, it will be Darrin Thomas. We all take for granted, what he has accomplished. Rose Bowl, NC BCS game, this year TBD, Next year TBD. No one in our history will have done what he has.

If anyone in that era of QBs was under appreciated it was Jason Fife. Even if he wasn't good enough to hold off Clemens, he'll always have the Michigan game and the SI cover to his name.
