Found the oatmeal ale down in the Hawthorne area for 2.75 a pint. Very good beer.

Also 21st Amendment's newish ESB was spectacular.. Anyone in Medford who hasn't had Apocalypse Kandikornholio needs to go try it

I was at Pike on Thursday. Picked up a growler of Space Needle IPA. Good drink. More of an English style IPA. Then I found a new brewery in Woodinville called Triplehorn. Grabbed a growler of their IPA (outstanding) and a growler of their red (nice & smokey). Also sampled their Milk Stout aged in Jim Beam barrels and on nitro. 10.5%. Holy shizzit it was good. I recommend anyone in that area to check them out. Said they've been open about 6 months.

Had a bottle of La Fin du Monde at family turkey dinner and grandma asks what's that. I say its beer, and she goes that not beer, beer is lighter. I tell her what your thinking of is only a very small percentage of what beer is.

Slightly off topic, but since I can't find the old barbecue thread i wanted to share.
I'm doing my first pulled pork of the year using wood from my friends Orchard; pear, apple, and cherry along with Hickory chips and briquettes.

It's a 4.5 pound roast and has been on 6 hours. Probably have an hour and a half to go.

Had enchiladas for dinner. Drank a couple of Sessions and a bomber of Elysian Savant IPA.
Waiting for Easter. Ordered a 3 lb. pork loin and the wife is going to roast it with herbs. I'll have to break out a growler of something nice to go with it. Not sure what yet.

Love central Oregon for many reasons, but it's geologic features are second to none in the United States. It's the second most geologically diverse area in the world, and basalt is the abundant rock.
