Worst explanation from tourney chair about ducks being 12 seed

Wow, this is really really bad. The Ducks have a legitimate gripe. We just got totally hosed.

That Oregon "hit a rough patch when Dominic Artis went out" and that they had basically made up their mind before Last night's game. Also we were 11 but got bumped down a seed.

Oregon's CONFERENCE SOS was 101st in the RPI, New Mexico's was 20 spots higher, if you can believe that.

I for one could really care less about our seeding. I don't think we're in horrible shape. For one, we're playing out west (San Jose). I would rather be a 12 seed and play out west as opposed to a 6-8 seed and playing on the East Coast against a Big 10 school. Second...the 12 seed is that seed that traditionally does damage in the tourney. I guess I look at how can we advance. I try not to buy into the east coast bias talk ( I know it is hard at times), but the SEC had plenty of teams not even in the tourney who were on the bobble.

Not an accurate seed, but oh well. At least Oklahoma State isn't the type of team that tries to slow the pace down, and if Oregon wins they avoid a 1 or 2 in round two.

I am not a huge college basketball guru, but it's ridiculous to me that the Pac-12 champ is a 12 seed. Earlier this year we were #10 in the nation, we end up with 8 losses (rather than, say, 13) and we are no better than 45th after winning the Pac-12 tourney?

I think that's ridiculous.

Kazemi's jaw is set. He will lead this team come gameday. I like that Loisvill is lurking in the wings right sfter if we win. Nasty draw.
